Status: offline 		LaM -You are absolutely correct -- it's "who" because otherwise the clause "who will listen" has no subject. If it was just "She complains to ______." then "whomever" would be correct ... although it would be an unusual sentence ("will listen" would be implied in this case).

Also, my unabridged has both "hung" and "hanged" as past tense of "hang" (which I knew when I answered the question; I've had occasion to look it up in the past) -- so their "hanged" (as opposed to "Either A or B") is incorrect.

With the above corrections to the test, I get 100%.

Status: offline 		Depends on the sense.  The past tense of "hang" in the sense of "hang something from a hook," "hang a coat on a rack," and so on in, is "hung."  The past tense of "hang" in the sense of "execute someone by hanging him or her with a noose around the neck" is "hanged."  It's never correct to use "hung" where you should have "hanged," or "hanged" where you should have "hung."  They're not interchangeable.

Status: offline 		i must be really dumb... everyone else is getting a quiz, and it's just telling me i'm gay... perhaps i should reevaluate my lifestyle... the webpage seems to be very confident in it's observation
