It could be that moving on is not so easily achieved. Sometimes in our haste to escape & be done with the pain of loss, or indeed betrayel, we run like demons only to find the reminders lurking around every corner. 'Go out & have fun!' say the well-meaning friends, without any seeming idea that you're carrying a mountain of hurt on shoulders that once seemed so strong. Before long, the well-meaning friends may lose patience & you achieve p.i.b. status. As daft as it sounds, it's time to be strong. I know that sounds like being told to dance a waltz on broken ankles, but your hurt is but proof of a heart. You're finding out about you, your depth of feeling, your capacity for pain, the sort of pain that is in no way enjoyable, but think of it as a ride on the ghost-train driven by memoury. Were I to say 'one day you'll laugh about it', you'd be well within your rights to award me a custard-pie right in the beezer, but time will prove the wiser. You will notice things.... how you look a bit taller than you thought you were, your eyes have shades of someone you're getting to know, someone called You. There's many a truth found in fables & fairytales... you feel broken & unloved..... then one day? You're a very fine swan indeed!
