Status: offline 		For my next meeting with my Dom, he's told me that we're going to use his new St Andrew's cross.  I haven't tried one before, so I'm feeling excited and nervous.

He's told me some of the things he's going to do, and has asked me to make some suggestions.  (Apparently 'tie me to it and thrash me wildly' isn't inventive enough.)

So... um... what sort of things DO you do, or have done to you, when restrained on a cross?  (Please no biblical suggestions.  I'm trying hard to avoid all of that - my religious upbringing is sending enough frantic messages to my psyche already.) 

As this is my first time (and it's a while since I've said that!), we want it to be fun, but intense and a bit wild as well.  Ok, yes, I want to have my cake and eat it too.  Any suggestions will be gratefully received, and probably tried.

Depending on the cross design... facing outward can make for some interesting play... breast flogging... pussy flogging for starters   It is also alot of fun since you can see each others expressions.  doing clothes pins on the breasts as well as the groin area... their is also some fun knife play to be done...especially fun if the person is afraid of knives... those expressions again..  The inner thighs are rather sensitive and great for canes and small paddles or crops.  you could put zippers on the breasts and work the lower area and when the bottom is rather focuse on the lower side... rip the zippers of... bet they forget about the pain in the groin. one can use some tiger balm on the groin or breath strips make it nice and hot too...

ok the list is rather endless... I think you should do what feels right at the moment.  A person is riding the wave.... one doesn't plan how they are going to ride the wave... they just use the skills they have to ride it and make immdiate decisions on how to move on the way.  It's there skill that keeps them on the wave as long as possible.

Status: offline 		Yes, he wants to cut my clothes off.  It's a scary thought, but intriguing.  And yes, I've picked out something I won't miss to be shredded.  Knives are interesting.... I'm looking forward to feeling the cold metal against my skin.

Some of the other suggestions... just reading them was a wild experience. I'll start making lists.  Edited to remove certain tiger balm segments, but otherwise I thank you for the ideas.

I've tried all sorts of things, it's silly to get so excited about this, but.... it has glamour! And it's a step forward into this special world.

The St. Andrews Cross is one of my most perferred items in training a slave.  As shared the possibilities are endless.  In my training I use the St Andrews Cross to enforce in the slave the sense of helplessness and being vulnerable is one of my first lessons, done much in the way already shared.  One Dungeon I go to has a St. Andrews Cross on an axel which can make the Cross spin and be locked into different positions, a feature I truely love.

I agree with this concept as my approach of preference. I think to lay out the activities before hand has an effect of
1- no element of surprise. This is very much one of the things I love. Having no clue what's coming next is way hot. I don't always want to enact an orchestrated play. I want the interaction to take on action of it's own accord.
2- I feel if I tell a Dom I play with specific things I'd like to do, that in part, I'm leading the experience. I prefer to be a mirror image and not the substance that chooses the pose in my lifestyle interactions. submission to me is getting off on a man doing with my available body what he wants to do.
I can be lame or I can be wild. It's the energy the Dom brings into the scene that sparks off that head space for me.

Good luck on your maiden voyage on the cross.

I like the element of surprise too..Being blindfolded and not knowing whats next...oh yeah.

Status: offline 		i am not a fan of upright scening, but that's Masters first choice.  If you aren't used to it, it can be a mess on the legs if you get "jello legs" when you start to go subspace.  

Some who like being upright add a bit of tension to it by wearing heels..  i've seen some ordered to do a lot of tippee toes time.  Some stand on little up-steps or foot-holds on the cross itself.. depends on how it's constructed.  Facing in, facing out.. wrist strapped to it or not, forcing you to hold the position by sheer force of will is pretty hot... my pref.

Either way, have fun!

Status: offline 		Hmmm ... icy hot, very good *lol*.  How about a set of Ben-Wa balls a blind fold, vibrator and a feather ... the rest you can make up as you go along *giggles*.  I usually do with some pretty amazing things coming up.  When you get right down to it, whatever your Master and you find most stimulating ... you'll discover, together as it should be.

Knives.  MMMM knives.

Fire flogging?  Sounds wonderful, but with my luck I'd burn the house down.  Then I'd have to explain to a dozen firemen why I was tied naked to a cross in a burning house.

I agree, Suzanne, the not knowing is a huge part of it, I think he wants a range of suggestions from me to get an idea of what kind of things to try, since it's our first time using the cross.  But he's always inventive and original when we start to session.

Thank you all, it's great to have expert opinions to call on.  This is gonna be SOOOO good!

ok, i took the fire flogging as a joke... or maybe i'm just not very astute. lol.   As exciting as fire flogging might be, (and i love the sound of fireplay!)  there are ways to just muck up a new experience by over-messing with it.

actually just have to wait long enough and if one does the effect can be rather interesting.  Not hot but pleasantly warm.
