  • The Foetus (41%)  -  Those who curl up in the foetus position are described as tough on the outside but sensitive at heart. They may be shy when they first meet somebody, but soon relax. This is the most common sleeping position, adopted by 41% of the 1,000 people who took part in the survey. More than twice as many women as men tend to adopt this position.
  • Freefall (7%)  -  Lying on your front with your hands around the pillow, and your head turned to one side. Often gregarious and brash people, but can be nervy and thin-skinned underneath, and don't like criticism, or extreme situations.
  • Starfish (5%)  -  Lying on your back with both arms up around the pillow. These sleepers make good friends because they are always ready to listen to others, and offer help when needed. They generally don't like to be the centre of attention.
  • P.S.  I also like one foot out from under the covers.

It's probably best (for all) if I sleep alone as I am all over the bed, sheeesh.

A hell yes on the "one foot out of the covers" technique.

I am a two foot out person......I call it my temperature control. I also like to sleep in a cold room with air flow. I hate hot and stuffy. Not a cuddler either, I get too hot. Give me lots of my own space. I love my uber firm king sized bed.

I won't even go into how picky I am about bedding....

lol, Tigresse, it's how I control the body temp, too, and I hate a stuffy room. And I like a little noise, from inside the room, not too quiet.

I do love to cuddle though, even like a woman to lay on top of me on occasion (not in a sexual way)... I wonder if it's some sort of "back to the womb" thing?

I know this is totally not related to sleeping patterns, but just thinking about all the things we talk about on here got me to thinking(ok, no remarks. )...We are considered perverts, and all other bad names....but we are just as "normal" as any of the rest of them, except for different views on things....this really pisses me off....ok, I'm done with my rant...back to sleeping in a cool room, with feet out from under the covers and a little noise in the room, and a little bit of light....thats the way I sleep.

OMG, even the thought of someone laying on top of me while trying to sleep gives me the claustrophobic heebie jeebies!

Yes, just a tad bit of light is good, though not a necessity for me.

And yeah, we're just as normal, or abnormal perhaps, as anyone.
