A central question is what can you offer her? Its not a matter of saying you want to serve... that goes without question. But you need to be able to sell yourself... just like you were job hunting. What kind of skills do you have that she might find useful? You may not have previous experience... but that is not necessarily a problem. Attitude counts for so much!
Telling her about your interests, such as strap-ons... well, it is not a bad thing. But you should wait for the appropriate time. She will ask. Don't jump the gun and try to tell her early... its like starting a job interview by asking how much you will get paid.
Of course, when looking for a job you read the newspaper ads... the online personals when seeking a Domme (and this website has a great personals section). But don't stop there... most jobs are never advertised and I am guessing the same is true for finding a Domme. It helps to network... get out there and meet people who are involved in D/s and show your sincerity and all around goodness. How do you meet people? You could try going to a few munches. (do you know what they are?)
This is all off the top of my head, and as I said, I am far from being an expert. Please make yourself at home here. It can be educational and fun too. And you just might meet someone who knows someone.... [;)]
