Been living on the edge with my hours cut so I don't do it, but.....
The government, with it's typical knee jerk reaction has fucked it up again.
They made online gambling illegal, and now claim not to have jurisdiction over it because as usual, it is all overseas. It's about the same as USC2257 which drove most of the porn sites out of the US. They did nothing to stop it, just now people will find it offshore.
Has any legislator in the US ever fucking read the Constitution ? I think not. First of all if you don't know how to gamble, don't do it except for fun, you will lose. The house will always win. If you learn how to gamble you know where the house's edge is and how they make money. You can learn to beat the edge. You must beat the edge to win, or simply get lucky. If you are waiting to get lucky, don't hold your breath.
I've had some very expensive lessons in gambling, I paid my dues.The first thing you need is self control. You need to stop, whether you won or lost. Many Americans lack even the most infinitesimal amount of self control. That is how they make so much money in the casinos in Vegas.
A friend of mine used to have a real poker machine in his house and I saw him go to the safe in the bedroom to get $1,000 for someone who hit the royal flush. This was a legal for trade machine, the kind you can't buy. Well you can but it's hard to find. Generally when they sell off these machines they change the chip in them so you'll never make money with it. He and his family, through connections got some of the machines before they were re-chipped.
So he goes gets the $1,000 and I said "That must hurt a bit". He replied "No, she'll be back and is going to put all of it back into the machine. It's only lost temporarily, I guarantee". He was right too, whether there or in contact on the phone I gleaned that she was there just about every day, feeding the five button bandit. I repaired that machine a couple of times and it was important not to destroy the chip. See when they re-chip them the odds are even steven, or just a bit worse. You can't make money.
Which brings us to the subject at hand. How do you know that a program that runs online gambling is even close to fair ? They can program it to do whatever they please, and if they like money, you know what happens. There is probably some online gambling that pits the users against each other, and the house takes a fairly constant take.
Now if our supposed leaders were not in this stooooooopid fucking religion that condemns gambling yet practices it, and if they really looked out for their constituents, we would be the casino of the world.
Online gambling would be among our GNP, along with the usual nucular ;-) weapons and missiles. We could make a killing, except for one thing. People in other countries have more self control. But at the very least we would be taking from ourselves in a way, instead of the money going out overseas where it is not taxed, and this government can't enforce any rules of fairness of the game on the host, or company.
This typical knee jerk reaction, I believe it is not stupidity, I now believe it is a ploy to get more power to the government to regulate our lives. A well regulated slave is an efficient slave. That's why drugs are illegal, and alot of other things. They own us. Would you let your car decide what type of oil gets put in it ? They must maintain us at a certain level, but they know what they are dealing with. If they allowed any one of us to reach our full potential they could lose the world.
You see they have it, they have you and they have me. We who don't follow their program should be eliminated in their view. We are no more than cattle to them, except for a few things. We can run machines like lathes and boring mills, we can drive cabs and trucks, we can build houses, lay brick, put in roads and and infrastructure. We are a different kind of cattle. We can also go fight in their wars.
Of the 200,000,000 + people in this country, the ruling elite care more for their cat than they do for all of us. The proof is right in front of you, look at the world.
Now the problem with gambling is that they can't police the money well enough. I can tell you why, they simply aren't smart enough. We aren't talking Crassius here, we are talking about a bunch of idiots born, to use the phrase of a democrat ( yik ) they were born with a silver foot in their mouth.
OK, now our tax dollars have forced the online gambling industry out of the country, now they are offshore and not under US jurisdiction. That surprises me, since for some odd reason Iraq and Afganistan were, but lets not dwell on that.
They had an opportunity to regulate online gambling and see that it is fair. That does not mean that there is no house edge, but it is regulated and posted. We could be the online gambling capital of the world, but not now. And no amount of federel regulation will stop the hemmorage of dollars out of this country unless they want to stifle trade. Some will notice and say something at election time. I swear I doubt these stupid muthafukers can think even five minutes into the future.
Here they could have some extreme regulatory power over an industry that is thriving, then they shoot themselves in the foot. There is talk of making it illegal for US based credit cards to pay to online gambling services, who the fuck are they kidding. You got the address for Citibank ? It is not in the US. It is not in any jurisdiction. So citibank can be your gambling card.
In short, they are going to be as good at this as they were in some of their other pursuits.
Well, friends, they have declared us the enemy in written documents, in the public record, of which I have copies. When your enemy is incometent, rejoice ! No shit.
I am not talking about the outdated methods of road building, I am not talking about the defunct criminal justice system, they are making mistakes in logic. They are fucking up. In that, we have hope.
