I'm beginning to suspect - and this is just a wild theory, I know - but, as I say, I'm beginning to suspect that some people on the net aren't totally honest.

Shocking, I know.

Probably untrue, I mean who'd go online and lie?  But just be aware that there's a slight possibility that sometimes you might come into contact with someone who isn't being totally honest with you.

Does that mean the sun might not come out tomorrow?  But, but, but I bet my bottom dollar that tomorrow, there'll be sun.

Yes there are lots of liars and fakes online. Some see this as entertainment and not a real lifestyle. Why people feel the need to lie? I dont know.

Dear becca333, Ladies and Gentlemen;
 
I'll agree with you, that there are cases of individuals who just plain lie because they can.  It really is easy to do and the TV Show "Jerry Springer" documents this very well.
 
There is no civilization or social structure that is free from lies, drama, deception and negative behavior which hurts others who prefer to stay honest and above board.

Any one of us could be fakes. Any one of us could be FBI profilers. Any one of us could be Nigerian scammers. Any one of us could be anything at all. Someone here might just be an extra terrestrial.........

The point is, sometimes you can spot them a mile off, and sometimes you cant. This is a website after all, and its difficult enough sometimes to get to really know anyone face to face, let alone through a medium like this.

Take it all with a pinch of salt. Dont take anyone's word as gospel on anything. Learn to spot who is genuine and who is not. Dont rely on a website alone for anything.

I'm sorry, but I don't see people who like BDSM as entertainment and not a lifestyle as being liars or fakers.  I am not a lifestyle Dom, though it may be nice to be one.  I think there are much fewer liars and fakers than you think.  I think it is silly for people who are edge players into D/s  24/7/365 to look down their noses at others who are not.

I can't tell if the OP is just being sarcastic or really naive. I hope it's the former and not the latter. The latter would be a sad indication of how shallow the gene pool is becoming.

On a serious note; if you don't have a healthy dose of pessimism and take everything you read or hear with a grain of salt, you have deeper issues. Issues that need to be addressed before you engage in bdsm activities.

To flip it; keep right on believing it and posting it. It's entertaining as hell for the rest of us. [;)]
