I think there should be a woman in presidency already.

Three of the most important Islamic nations had women as presidents or prime ministers.

Turkey: Tansu Çiller

Indonesia: Megawati Sukarnoputri

Pakistan: Benazir Bhutto

Yes.... I agree.

But why Europe has women as presidents or prime ministers, and America doesn't?

Considering both as modern western cultures.

America isn't ready for a woman President.

We still have a bit more demeaning of the office to do ... so we will have to stick with men, at least in the short term.

Some forget (despite "knowing the answers"), troops take an oath and therefore have no choice in listening... whether the President is a boob or not.

I'm always puzzled when someone says we should have a woman as president. Why? If a woman ran that I felt was the best choice, I would vote for her. But to vote for her just because she is a woman? Why?

The only time I've ever visualised Margaret Thatcher's boobs was to "prolong enjoyment with a lady."

By the way, I think Margaret Thatcher is a perfect example of what happens when a woman does achieve power - she disposes of almost all of her femininity and adopts a male stance on practically everything. By the time she was ousted from office, she was probably oozing more testosterone than her male equivalents.

Bhutto might have made it there.....but she's a terrible example. She was /is very self-absorbed /greedy. She looted the treasury and if my memory serves me right, wasn't she then exiled? Based upon what I remember, I'd say she's lucky the militants didn't cut her head off.

Well I’ve heard on TV that women voted for José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero; Prime Minister of Spain, because they found him cute.

That could happen to any politician (man or woman); my point is not about being good or bad prime minister, it is she became one.

On Jordan:

Well, here in Jordan we have women as ministers and members in the parliament. I think Jordan isn’t ready to have a woman as a prime minister yet.

And women can DRIVE CARS!! And can wear whatever they want.

Now if you look at Saudi Arabia….. That is another whole story.

I don’t know about a queen being the head of the sate. I think we have similarities with the Japanese, though Her Majesty Queen Rania got some charisma. But maybe the Japanese are more open than us, they got male grandson after all.
