LaTigresse -> RE: Being Left Handed (9/22/2006 1:15:33 PM)

I am very much left handed when it comes to fine motor skills like writing, painting etc. I hated using some scissors in school but I think I got the pressure thing down so that I don't really think about it anymore. Probably the only issue I have would be knives. Last night I was cutting up some veggies for grilling and I was struggling with the eggplant. The knife wanted to go at an angle because it was beveled for a right hander. I hand to twist it as i was cutting down thru. I have noticed that when cutting other things like raw carrots, squash etc. The knife just does not want to co-operate. Otherwise I have adapted and rarely even think about it. I am a whiz with a mouse and calculator with my right hand....years of practice. Just don't ask me to try and pick up a pen to write my name with it.

Read the article for the rebuttals there Marc2b.

Rebuttals for what?  I didn't write (okay, rant) about Left-handedness and sexuality.

Oh, I was just referring to your first post. No you didn't rant about left handedness and sexuality, but a bit about culturla biases against lefties - just alerting you that I had only copied the part where the research suggested left-handers were more likely to be gay, not the rebuttals of these conslusions in the rest of the article, cultural bias being one of them.

Just didn't want to get flamed for posting the article - you left handers being soooo sinister and all...
