Greetings and Welcome! Thank you for stopping by. We are thrilled to be moving into our brand new 4000+ square foot facility for our members. In fact, we are expanding our offerings and also home to Shibari South Florida (SILK) and the Photo Artisans Guild (PAG), as well as hosting some of the functions for Southern People into Consensual Endeavors (SPICE), Women of Leather Florida (WOLF) and PonyOATS.
For those of you who do not know about the Lifestyle Alternatives Centre of Palm Beach (LAC), we are a privately owned and operated, not-for-profit, South East Florida-based education and social membership organization. Located at the Adult Lifestyle Alternatives Arts Society & Educational Facility (ALAASEF), LAC is a privately structured and operated as a members-only organization that intended for use and funded only by its Members, Visiting Guests and Sponsors.
LAC's Mission is to provide its Members, Visiting Guests and Sponsors with a variety of resources that are thoughtful, risk-aware, consensual, and non-exploitative in any and all forms, including:
1. Information on alternative arts, culture, life and living; and
2. Support-related resources and solutions; and
3. Exposure through demonstrations and performances; and
4. Education options that are focused on styles, practices, techniques, and modalities; and
5. Experience in a location where guided practice and hands-on practical applications can better hone skills in a manner that is conducive to putting alternative arts to living form as safely as possible; and
6. Socializing at our facility and functions that will provide opportunities to interact and network with others who have similar interests; and
7. Opportunities to promote or be exposed to a variety of alternative arts, culture, life and living supportive businesses that may benefit our LAC Members through special programs, discounts or offerings.
Not only is ALAASEF home to LAC and its various Special Interest Groups (SIGs), Photo Artisans Guild (PAG) and Shibari South Florida (SILK). Standard functions at our facility include meetings, classes, workshops, edu-socials and privy-socials for our Membership.
The LAC facility is comprised of 2 adjoining units in a secured and gated light industrial complex that is safe, well-lit and has a landlord that is perfectly fine with what we will be doing in a city that has also been supportive our mission. The first unit is 3200 square feet of open space with 22' ceilings, a nice half bathroom, kitchen area and workshop. The second space is 1450 square feet of gallery and exhibit space with rental storage bins, a full bath (shower), library, dressing room and kitchenette. This space is really nice and has huge possibilities for subletting to lifestyle friendly businesses
Given that LAC is a not-for-profit organization, our biggest challenge is making sure that we can cover our "nut" (lease, utilities, insurance, equipment, etc.) ongoing to secure this facility and produce our offerings that benefit our Membership. As the Founder and Director of LAC, I can assure you that we will make a substantial investment of our time, finances, effort and energy, but we can not do all of this alone.
