CherieP -> RE: Fetish Question; worn stockings (9/20/2006 11:04:51 AM)

Greetings Lady Ellen! I think I can answer that question, as I started my career in the adult industry as a worn-panty seller. (Nowadays I run a homemade-porn paysite.) With panties, of course, the buyer can tell by the smell. Fakers may try using fish oil or something like that but it really isn't the same scent at all. (Mine, for instance, smell more like caramel than tuna.) With stockings he (or she) wouldn't be able to tell if they were worn by a man or a woman, but the fetishists' noses are very sensitive to the aroma and they can certainly tell if they've really been worn. With either it's very common for the buyer to request a pic where the wearer holds a handwritten, personalized sign or even writes a personal message on their body. And there's usually an exchange of emails or chats that take place before the order so that he has some sense of the reality of the person he's dealing with. Some buyers will also insist on having the worn item delivered in person, though not many sellers will accomodate this request. There's also an online verification service (called Panty Trust, but they deal with worn item sellers/buyers of all sorts) that independently verifies sellers and also acts as a dispute resolution service should anybody feel they've been ripped off. And then there's the Used Panty Portal where buyers and sellers of all sorts of worn items can get together; they've got a forum, chat room etc where the potential buyer can get to know the seller and develop a sense of trust in her before placing an order. Yes, you really can find anything on the internet. [:D] -CherieP p.s. Congratulations on the flogger!
