From what my Dr said, the hormone which causes milk production is prolactin. This is either found in, or synthesized in the body from the ingredients of, the contraceptive pill and HRT. At normal levels for the contraceptive pill, it is insufficient to cause milk production, and HRT is generally also given at low levels which would not result in lactation. I'm not sure if the above is exactly accurate, but its what I remember of what my Dr told me, so please dont sue OK? The subject came up with my Dr because I have regular blood tests because of all the stuff I'm on. One test a few months back showed very high prolactin levels - no, I wasnt lactating before you ask! NOW THE WARNINGS Apparently the causes for these high levels can be HRT/the pill at high doses, but they can also be the result of a tumour on a gland in the brain which causes the gland to pump more prolactin out than normal. This tumour wont kill you - but it is very close to the optic nerve and it can blind you as it grows. Inducing high prolactin levels artificially may therefore hide an underlying condition which could be devastating. All hormonal treatments are very powerful and carry contraindications, side effects and real danger to life. High doses of HRT and the contraceptive pill carry risks of blood clots that can kill instantly, and long term carry the risk of liver damage. And much more besides. My advice would be - playing with hormones is dangerous and potentially lethal. Dont do it. And if you really do want a woman lactating then have a baby with her - as long as the milk is drawn, the breast will continue to produce. However, having a baby is a full time commitment, so your lady may not be as interested as you in the erotic ideas you might have about her lactation! E
