All these references to Viking religion - the religion of an awful people who terrorised Europe with dreadful violence.

Funny how they never tried to convert anyone to their religion with threats and violence though, which the two Judaic heresies have done. They're each as bad as the other when the fundies get hold of them and its only 'cause the fundy Christians are relatively controlled that they're not firebombing my heathen house of evil right now.

Hey, yer talking about my ancestors, or half of them anyway. They were probobly just after some of those hot Irish babes, it get's cold up there. And the Europeans managed to terrorize themselves pretty well after the Norse converted, as I understand it. I will admit I'm not up on any ill will that might be lingering between Angles and Saxons on your fair Isle there.

I have been thinking about the apparent fact that monotheistic religions appear to be more likely to engage in violence based on religious principle alone - I haven't heard ot the Bhuddists or the Hindu's going on any crusades lately - or ever, for that matter.

Monotheism itself seems to become a justification of some sort. Something going on there psychologically maybe? Sort of an induced paranoid schizophrenic psychopathy?

I, for one, am utterly sick of the catering to Islamacists' sensabilities.  They show total contempt and disrespect to all who doesn't buy their silly mythology, then have the gall to demand to be treated with respect.  They claim to be a "religion of peace" and prove it by thuggery, murder and terrorism.

Sorry, but the problem here isn't "Muslims" however hard you're trying to make it one through mindless predjudice - rabble rousing and inciting violence is pretty much as bad as being violent - and you're the same guys always arguing for special privilages based on your supertitious beliefs, including the right to persecute people for their sexual orientation.

People protest when sombody lumps them all together and calls them names? And that justifies the fact that you did it?

Judge not baby, yer day is comin' too.

Anyway,  it's a small group of reactionaries opposed to globalization who happen to be Muslim, if were "Muslims" the shit would really be hiting the fan, cause there's a whoooole bunch of them, whom you seem intent on picking a fight with.

Don't expect me to back you up, yer on yer own.

Hi Amaros

My ancestors too - I was being sarcastic! I follow Asatru (modern Norse heathenry).

And youre right - its that insistence that only one way is right and good, and ergo all else are wrong and evil, that causes these two Judaic heresies to be so prone to proving how peace and love are expressed at the end of a sword.
