Hmm m I dont sugest punishment I sugest a new "Master" a man that cant controll himself and cant take critisim from someone that cares about them and yes starting to smoke was stupid so you were just beeing honest. in my opinion he is no Master at all and personally airing your busyness on the boards is a bad thing to do.. also shows me that even if you did deserve a punishment haveing you come here to ask opinions just shows me one that he isnt confanent in his desition to punish you or two isnt creative enough to come up with one on his own...

I am in full agrement with Frank01..."I personally cannot see the point in punishing someone for voicing their thoughts about something as important as their loved ones health". However, you do so with no respect to your master; for this transgression punishment should and must be given. Since you spoke, a reasonable punishment could be the wearing of a tight/big gag for a lengthy period of time. Next time you may remember to curb your outburst with a more respectable dialog.

Well, he was a dumbass and kudos for you for telling him. Those would be my exact words too. But I'm kind of a smart ass. :) I'm an ex smoker too who has done the start/quit dumbass behaviour.

But I've been told I'm often not very submissive.

I think KoM has a valid point - his method is similar to my Master's methods and although I still call him (my Master, not Knight) a dumbass, I look extra cute

when I do it and always add the 'Sir'. *weg*

And for the record, I don't think its a mistake in the sense sub screwed up, it's probably just bad form in any situation to name call. It just makes us look small, M/s or store clerk/shopper, bad driver/good driver. Let's just be nicer to one another.

If I were him, I'd put the money I save from not smoking into a piggybank and use it to buy wicked implements to torment you with... Before long you'll wish he was still a 'dumbass'... <chuckle> That would be a damn good incentive for me sticking to quitting too... :)

I don't think he had you on intent, it was just the wording. I mean, when I was in school, I wouldn't have stood up and called the teacher a dumbass! Not that I didn't have that opinion about a few of them. Respect is the issue. As for a punishment, I can't help you... maybe crucifixion?

Thanks for all of your replies and advice. I had to write an essay saying what it meant to be a slave and how to be more mindful of my words and to show proper respect along with not talking to him until it was completed and he was satisifed with the end result. Something I did forget to mention was that this was my 4th infraction, not my first.

KoM, more of the reasons i like You Sir. Guidance and correction, much more effective over the long haul. Not that punishment doesn't have it's place, but i really think punishment in this case would have been a knee jerk reaction, and any sub or slave would have felt bad enough for having kicked the Man while He's down. i'd be dying for a chance to correct that offhand comment.

to the OP.. feel for you! been there, done that, burned the t-shirt! :)
