Abrasion play is not my thing....way too surfacy for me. I do have a very close girlfriend of mine that adores that kink. Her favorite toy is their wire grill brush. Those can be had relatively cheaply.

I used to use a toothbrush on my ex-gf...
You could also use an electric one...

Welll sometimes 'old fashioned' is still the best way.......
I still like a spinaker wheel,  that does wonders

Aine -> RE: question about scratching (9/30/2006 1:52:49 PM)

I'd say old fashioned would technically be fingernails....but hell, it's tried and true, right?

MASTERRocker -> RE: question about scratching (9/30/2006 1:55:39 PM)

well    ... if you have fingernails  = not many guys let their's grow

KnightofMists -> RE: question about scratching (9/30/2006 2:38:00 PM)

scratching or abrasion play in general is alot of fun.  It is a particular energy kick doing this with kyra.

A few of the abrasion toys that I have used... fish gloves, dog brush, hair brush, barbeque brush, horse brush, my nails of course, guitar picks(metal ones),  the blade edge of a knife.... the list can go on for a bit if you think about it.

I enjoy doing it both soft and hard... doing a mixture is alot of fun.  It's is particularly fun when the flesh is so sensitive from the abrasion play that the slightest touch can be an ouchie *G*

I've definitely not gotten to that point yet...we usually start off really soft, then build up...but I've noticed that since he uses just his nails(which aren't all that long at all, I think unless they are -realllllly- short, most guys could do this) I tend to start getting too used to the sensation and it's not as squirm-causing as it started out to be.

I guess that's the queue to start looking at other methods, huh? lol

Nothing wrong with old fashioned.. Everybody's different after all. I did use my fingertips (more than my nails as I keep them short) too. Even a wooden toothpick. Everyday stuff.

Fork.  Scraped across the breasts.

Scratchie scratchie, fork across breasts.

Lightly rub elk fur.  cotton ball.  Ice cube.

More scratchie scratchie.

Could be wrong, but there you go.

My favorite, vampire gloves. Go figure. Far more fun on the pets that ARENT so ticklish they cant stay still. I also do fingernails, when i have them.  And my warternburg wheel does nicely too if im careful.  That one tends to leave nastier marks though.

Here is a cheap one for you; Go to the dollar store and pick up a cheap pair of plain mittens and a pack of extra fine grit sandpaper, cut out oval shapes from the sandpaper and using a big sewing needle and some yarn stitch the ovals to the palms of the mittens.

Make sure you only use the extra fine grit and be careful until you are familiar with the sensations/marks it produces as sandpaper of a heavier grit can take off skin and even the fine grit can irritate sensitive skin.

The sensation of these is really awesome.

Aine -> RE: question about scratching (10/1/2006 3:33:25 PM)

Not sure I'd like anything similar to sandpaper....I can't stand using it even the way it's supposed to be used...I can't stand holding it even.  But the idea is nifty for those who do, that's for sure.

Sensualips -> RE: question about scratching (10/1/2006 5:42:48 PM)

I love scratching, from the light and tingly kind to the bleeding scrapes down my back.  My back, shoulders, and head are the most responsive but I pretty much like it all over.  An exception might be the inner thigh area.

I find in general I tend to prefer the more natural types of rough play as opposed to fancy toys.  Give me face slapping, scratching, biting, and smacking over floggers, violet wands, and so on.  Not that I don't enjoy the toys also, but it is slightly less primal and intimate to me.

Except pinching.  I hate pinching.

So I take it you might not like nipple clamps and the like?

Since my nipples haven't always been the most sensitive things...I can stretch and slap the crap outta my bewbs and there's just not a whole lot of sensation most of the time...*sighs*

I've been looking at possibly buying nipple to clit clamps on chains...

Ok, now that I've possibly derailed my own topic...

Now back to our regularly scheduled program

Sensualips -> RE: question about scratching (10/1/2006 8:44:39 PM)

I actually tolerate nipple clamps and sometimes even enjoy it depending on the pressure. I prefer suction though.

But I meant like pinching with the hands.  One partner of mine likes to tease and play by grabbing your inner thigh and pinching. H ealso has frakishly strong toes that pinch, which can be kind of fun during playful wrestling but still painful in a not-pleasant way. A few times I have been pinched, like on the back of the arm or something, mid scene and it immediately just made me say OWW!! and took me right out of whatever was going on.

Oops, I derailed too.
