subacceptance -> Law of supply & demand (9/25/2006 6:08:22 PM)

I am rather curious person in general. It seems that male submissives way out nbr female dominants. I cant speak for everywhere, I'm in Atlanta, but to satisfying my curiousity, I placed identical profiles on collarme, alt, & bondage only difference being the sex. The numbers were amazing.

Lest any of the more "serious" folks in the lifestyle whine about dishonesty, yes, it was an experiment, and no I didnt reply to anyone. I wanted to see the actual nbrs.

So although I've have a couple of theories, I was curious about what the general population on collarme think?

Also I'm in Atlanta, if any woman are interested in going to Dom Com and looking for a "date" let me know. Suffice to say as much as I want to go, I dont dare ask anyone in my vanilla circle.

The most numerous active group is male subs.  The least numerous active group is female dommes.  If you're a male sub looking for a female domme, you've got some competition to deal with.  Subs generally outnumber doms, in my experience, and male subs have it so bad that they sometimes remind me of those poor salmon swimming upriver.

Ok  LAM, what river? But are they subbie subs, Sammie subs, switching subs, do me subs or real and true subs searching for the one true way upstream?

DOM33416 -> RE: Law of supply & demand (9/25/2006 6:22:15 PM)

At least the salmon have chance to be swatted and bitten by a bear along the way , on the other hand male subs sometimes have cash to improve the chances.

ShiftedJewel -> RE: Law of supply & demand (9/25/2006 6:23:18 PM)

The river is probably in NC...

Lmao....money would not help them out here. Showing up and honesty would take them a long way though.

subacceptance -> RE: Law of supply & demand (9/25/2006 8:23:55 PM)

Well on occasion have gone the pro route but its not the dynamic I'm looking for. But it was great though.

subacceptance -> RE: Law of supply & demand (9/25/2006 8:27:28 PM)

Ah different names for subs. You always learn something new here. Some of the Dommes i've met, I called "popcorn" Dommes, hard at first but after a little heat, all fluff. By heat I mean when its time to walk the talk, its all just fluff.

As would having some basic social skills and dating skills.

subacceptance -> RE: Law of supply & demand (9/25/2006 8:39:14 PM)

So true Ms Sonnet. But i'd prefer a little bit more than basic social/dating skills.

BlkTallFullfig -> RE: Law of supply & demand (9/25/2006 8:39:58 PM)

The potentially bigger problem is finding a domina to whom you do indeed submit who does or is interested in every kink in your extensive list.
Don't worry about the numbers, because relatively healthy submissive men interested in relationships, who aren't already owned by a wife/girlfriend/momma, are a rare commodity.   Good luck in your search,  M

subacceptance -> RE: Law of supply & demand (9/25/2006 8:40:59 PM)

Is there nothing more exciting for a male sub to discover a 'vanilla' woman is much more than that?

Ahhhh... But if we are such a rare commodity, than why is our search indeed so difficult if this is what Dommes are looking for?

I don't even have to read the responses....anyone thinking knows male subs outnumber females Dommes by something on the order of 900 katrillion, quazillion, megafillion....to 1.

(I was actually being generous).

You asked a question.  Effectively, "...did the general population think as" you did.

You forgot a rather prescient question;  A rather most important question.

What was the question?

(You must ask one, or all this effort will be wasted).

I don't know about your approach, but I tend to like my man crawling to and for me...  Perhaps all the ladies you're waiting to write are waiting for you.

But you know the chemistry thing is a part of this.   Write to the lady you think is hot, and let the chips fall where they may.
And keep posting here, because if you are a gentleman and submissive, you will be picked up by one already here or coming here to read.   [;)]  M

Now, that's just simply not true.

Male subs are not at all like salmon swimming upstream....they're more like carrion being dropped from a height of 12,000 feet, only to land in front of an extremely large concrete truck, fully loaded with no brakes, sqwooshing everything in its path, rolling headlong into a 30 foot thick wall, designed entirely to stop a fully loaded concrete truck with no brakes, coming down a hill (I think we've done this part already)....

But anyway....aside from that...

Yeah....we're like salmon swimming upstream....

Thank you, BlkTallFullFig,

My approach is simple, yet honest. I find someone who interests me, then I send them a very respectful, polite email that has good leading and probing questions designed to initiate casual conversation. And yet, of those emails I send out, perhaps 90 percent of them do not get a return answer. I just have to be positive that the right person is out there. If Dommes think they have it hard wading through all the dross to find the gold, think how us male submissives who are genuine, respectful, polite, and serious about relationships must feel when we are bogged down by the hordes of players and trolls. It is hard enough to set yourself apart from the rest who are not serious, but it is even harder when you are not even given a chance because of that.

I took a look at both of your profiles, because I am such a domme, looking for a serious LTR sub. It's actually fairly simple why I wouldn't contact you, you don't show up on my search!  You are not open to relocate... this is a deal breaker for me.  I have my home, and wherever I decide to make MY home, that is where my slave will be.  I understand that once an LTR is established, all partners need to work together, but if you're not willing to come INTO my world......

I also require my subs to be open to the idea that I will cuckold them.  I may not ever do it, or I may do it regularly, but I am Polyamorous, so if they're not open to it, it won't work out.

Just one domme's 2 sense (haha)

LOL I have two profiles?? Your right though, at this time I wouldnt be able to relocate because of my career goals and schooling. I simply cannot afford to relocate at this time. But perhaps in thinking of that possiblity, that may actually be one of the biggest reasons why it is difficult for me in my search. But I am polyamorous and wouldnt have a problem being cuckolded as long as I could watch! [:)]
