Ok I felt since we had the Really,
Really Bad Advice posting.[sm=book.gif]

I thought we would try the Really,
Really Good Advice game.

Someone asks for advice on a problem
and then the person below them answers with good advice.
Then they ask for advice. {etc}.

My question.
"We need something to get rid of Ants?"

I just read in an e-mail about that exact topic. It mentioned using Bounce fabric softener along the doors and anywhere the little ants are coming in. I haven't tried this yet so I'm hoping it will work for you.

Oops! I forgot to ask for some really really good advice.

Our easy-set pool needs to be prepared for the winter which would be no big deal if the filter was working. The filter broke while we were on vacation and we couldn't find an replacement this late in the season.  So adding the shock to the pool without it mixing around might be damaging to the pool. Any ideas what I can do?

Could You get a filter online?
I grew up with a swimming pool,
so I know the pit falls.

From a parent, low interest

Where is the best place to buy a couch?

Look at Levitz furniture.
Or look at place
that is having a closeout sale if possible?

What kind is it?  I'd say vacuum and then use a commercial upholstery cleaner.

I'm not the best at small talk.  What are good normal topics to throw out?

SohCahToa -> RE: Really, Really Good Advice. (9/27/2006 1:26:27 PM)

Well when you say throw out I assume you mean which topics to try. I’ll give my advice on this basis. I’ve noticed that people like to talk about the following things:

Weather
Work life
Pets
Hobbies
What book you are reading?
What was the last film your saw?

Some people like to avoid the following topics although I don’t mind them so much:

Religion
Politics

My problem:

My belt no longer fits me so well I’m in between holes as the say. How can I make a new hole in the belt without ruining it? I can’t afford the services of a leather craftsperson.

You can Rig it with a nail and a Hammer.
Crude, but if done right, it works well.
