I agree Aine it is both.......and like yourself I go to both places and just recently started to post and reply on the boards.......... It feels like a community to me.....very closeknit at times.........because I have found many friends since I have joined...........

I think it's both. I don't do much active looking on the other side. If someone eventually comes along, great, if not, oh well. I'm not holding my breath either way. I'm just making sure to not seal myself off to any avenue that might produce results. I enjoy so many of the posters and there are so many intellegent people here. There are people who post that don't write as eloquently, yet have valid points and insight to offer. I love it all. ~Big

I agree, the forums create a beautiful community. The other side is a dating service and live journal type thing too.

Well, I would have to say it's both too...ever so slightly co-mingled. What saddens me is that it is likely to become more of a sex-site; based on the advertising done. I used to enjoy Alt, too…but not so much anymore. I realize bills have to be paid; but advertising sex partners brings those who just want sex partners. Talk about watered-down BDSM. <sigh>

I stumbled on to this site, I have had good and bad experience. It has been both a community meeting hall for me and a dating site. I have learned a lot while on here and made some friends. Some people I think are just wanna be others are just too big headed, and feel they are more important than they really are. I probably fall into that catagory sometimes. Generally I just get some great fun and ideas out of this site so I call it a reasonably well rounded center. Patina

I'm here to use the Browse Photo menu option, look for hot women and then proposition them. Profiles? wtf are profiles? I just know that their whole life, they were waiting to hear from me - and when they get my message, they will know that their life is now closer to ultimate fulfillment. Just kidding. I'm here for the boards.

Im not sure this side is so much a "community" for me as a place where I can hang out and learn and voice opinions. I have met a couple of submissive friends through the message boards.

Im here because I enjoy the interaction of reading and replying to others opinions on lifestyle related subjects, who may or may not be living a 24/7 power-exchange relationship.
