I've never had it but I have caught a ton of them. One of the rivers here used to supply most of the turtle to the restaurants in the country. I am not sure I'd want to eat one here anymore though because of pollutants. Some of them are huge! I was trying to retrieve a hook from one once and learned (almost the really hard way) that they can jump quite high! An old man at the river told me that a turtle has meat in it that tastes like 7 different kinds of meat, depending on the cut. So I guess that means it doesn't all taste like chicken....lol.
