ORIGINAL: thompsonx Oil from Venezuela is called "light sweet crude" it is necessary to mix this light sweet crude with oils of higher sulphur content to functionalize them. So no matter what gasoline you buy it will have been mixed with Venezuelan oil. Oil is an international business and all the posturing is just so much politics. Hugo Chavez is the democratically elected president of Venezuela and Bush & co. have tried several times to assassinate him. I am curious why you dislike him? thompson What is called "Light sweet" is the basis for gasoline. It comes from many different places on the globe, including the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska, The North Sea, etccc.. It is not specific to Venezuela. K
