So we bought some "washable" markers to play with last night... The problem is they're not as washable as they claimed to be... Is there any easy way to remove it without scrubbing my skin off? Does rubbing alcohol work?

Temporary tattooes come off when rubbed with baby oil, you could try that... -J.

Dawn dishwashing liquid works good on permanent marker on skin in combination with scrubbing cloth or sponge, don't see why it wouldn't do as well for washable markers.

rubbing alcohol works wonders, I am diabetic so i keep alot of those alcohol pads around and they even take the marker stains out of my kids clothes..

I know it sounds strange, but try margarine. Its the only thing that will take roofing tar off your hands, so maybe it will work on markers as well.

Now here I'm an expert. lol I ADORE my washable markers. Which markers are you using? We use Crayola fine line 'intense' washable markers (the scented ones are nice but the smell can be overpowering) Usually the trouble colours are black, blue and reds. Best advice, don't shower just before hand, it opens up the pores and the colour sinks in. And don't clean the back first. (unless you're sharing markers, then you don't have a choice) I've found the best thing to get the marker off (especially if you leave it on for a good long time) is the moisturizing body washes (olay and dove) Also don't wear lotions or such before hand, it will ruin your markers! soft scrub with bleach actually works pretty good..it even will remove permananent marker on skin.. or is that tmi? LOL

Ordianry soap, Gojo hand cleaner, printers Goop, Goop for auto mechanics, alcohol, non-leaded gasoline is a universal solvent and will remove just about anything, a product called Goof-Off (Home Depot), WD-40, dishwashing liquid, a product sold for removing labels, Pinesol or anything with Pine Oil.

LOL and give it two days- regular washing, skin sloughing and your bodies oils will take care of almost all of it.

Lava Soap, pumice stone, or GoJo from a garage (you can get it at auto parts stores.)

There was a lot of stuff written everywhere... but it wasn't on my forehead... it would've been covered by my clothes, but I wear white scrubs to work... so it would've shown through in spots...

It will take a couple of showers and don't wear clothing right afterwards that you don't want marker on, certainly don't wear white. Use markers for children, less toxic and will wash off more easily. Write on skin and not over hair if you can avoid it -- the dyes will stick longer to the hair than to just plain old human skin.

Try wearing an undershirt & leggings to camouflage as much of the markings as possible & then scribble over the words that show so that they are indistinguishable & offer some crazy excuse that your niece/nephew wrote all over you while taking a nap while sunning yourself? baby oil, vasoline, lotion, alcohol & time are the only things I can think of that will aide in removing the ink To be honest... we had something close to this happen a week ago. My 15 y/o goth-princess likes to write on the backs of her hands & such with black permanent ink... well it backfired on her when she fell asleep on the couch with her face on the back of her hand. She had a reverse tattoo on her cheek. We managed to get most of it off with baby oil & vasoline.

try good ole fashioned cold cream. It can take the toughest stage makeup off..so maybe it would work on markers.

I managed to scrub off indelible marker in just one shower. I used a scrubby puff and regular shower gel. My skin was not especially irritated, but i scrub with the puff every day.
