Status: offline 		Master is one of those people that starts to get ready at the time we are supposed to leave OR at the time we are supposed to be there. This makes me totally crazy as i believe it's rude to be late.

Master tells me to chill out and go with the flow and i do try but it ruins my mood to be all ready to go before He is even in the shower and i have to wait knowing we will be late.

How can i change my attitude about this?

Also of all my duties cleaning the bath tub is the worst. Not just because i don't like it but because the position needed and the scrubbing in that possition kills my neck. It hurts for days afterwards/ Is there an easier way to do this without the pain?
This is NOT the good kind of pain nor the kind Master desires to see me in

I feel your pain....lol! I am one of those people who is just paranoid about being late for anything. My ex Sir was just like your Sir. The only thing that I found that helped was that I would get everything ready for Him, lay out His clothing, His grooming needs and then I would start the shower for Him. I would then immediately go tell Him that I had started His shower and take Him by the hand saying I wanted Him to have a nice hot shower, come on I will wash your back. Now mind you this did not always work and there were times He would say "Well I am not ready yet so go turn off the water".

As for the tub cleaning I think I can offer you real help there. A few years ago I fractured my back and cleaning the tub is a very uncomfortable position for me also. I started using a product called Tilex Fresh Shower. EVERY time you get out of the shower you take it and mist down all the surfaces of the shower, tub and shower curtain. This stuff works like magic. Then about once a week I spray the entire thing down with Dow Scrubbing Bubbles. My shower is always sparkling. It does a bit of cost to your cleaning routine, I know I use a bottle of that stuff about every 2 weeks. It actually only comes out to pennies per day though and is very much worth the cost to me. You do have to be very consistent though about using it each and every time as soon as you step out. Hope this helps.

thank you so much. i do everything but start Master's shower for Him and coax Him in there already. So i'll try that.

Tilex Fresh Shower!! How did i forget that?? i used it a long time ago. hmm wonder why i stoped using it? i'll get some of that and the scrubbing bubbles next time we go to the store.

Status: offline 		Hi liljoy: I would suggest telling him the time for the appointment is a half hour earlier than it is. Don't lie but just say, "We should be there by _____________". It might help. Regarding the tub, use a long handled brush. You can get the brush from the grocery store and add a broom handle to it (it screws in). It will help your back. Good luck.

lol...this works! If i ever get caught i'm sure i will get my ass beat, but i've found the host rarely mentions the time you were supposed to be there.

i feel guilty when i get irritated with Master for making us late to things, hopefully as i grow into my submission i will become more accepting...

1) i don't lie to Him, ever. That is His firmist rule and i'll not break it even for a good cause.
2) He already knows what time the muncs and parties are lol

Status: offline 		About the tub-- I dunno if it'll work for you, but I often use a (clean, devoted to this purpose) toilet brush for the tub. The long handle keeps me from having to get all crunched up. That, and I swear by LimeAway.

Status: offline 		CLR is a good "leave in" type cleaner, you just spray it on, wait, then come back a little while later and rinse it off. If you do that regularly it gets a lot of the crudd off. SimpleGreen is a friggin' miracle for tough spots, and personally, I swear by lysol concentrate (but you do have to be able to deal with the fumes). A little lysol concentrate in a tub full of hot water, left to stand for about ten minutes, does wonders for getting rid of stubborn tub stains, especially the sort that get deep inside the porcelean. Not so good for getting rid of rust stains, though, lysol really only dissolves the organic crud. Mildew is best gotten rid of by a sneaky trick. Run a nice hot shower for a few minutes, get the room nice and steamy. The mildew buds will open up, since it's an air feeder. Hit the mildew with chlorine bleach once the shower is nice and warm, and the mildew won't be able to protect itself. You'll kill the whole colony that way, even the rhisome rootstock inside the tile or grout.

Status: offline 		As something to try... why not wait to get ready until after he starts? I don't like waiting for someone else once I'm ready to go. Unless it's a child I will often just leave and go on my own, let them catch up or walk. Do you absolutely have to wait for him?

I have a tendency to be fashionably late too. I am ready early but get there too early so I read a book, do some errands, go for coffee and suddenly I'm running late. I get there. :)

Status: offline 		You know, it occurs to me, you could just take this as a sort of regular scene play. You don't have to like it, it's just one more way for him to dominate you. Some times the best way to cope is just to change around your philosophy (or is that only effective for me?)

Sometimes I stop and ask myself whose opinion (of me) is most important. I am still aware of what other people might think, but it does help me put my feelings into perspective.

Status: offline 		just a quick note about Simple Green it is very harmful and toxic. plus it can damage metal, rubber, and plastic. that is the reason the Military stoppped using them because it was destroying gaskets and weaking the metal on everything they used it on. And I've a friend with cancer that was told to avoid it in addition to a long list of other cleaners and items in her workshop.

ok i've made note to that fact. Lucky for me that Master doesn't see it that way. Master sees nothing wrong with my asking for help. Don't we all need help from time to time? Perhaps not you.

Your Master is the decider of this. Submit to his will and realize that if you are habitually late it is because that is his preference, the end.

I agree with the poster who said that Dow Scrubbing Bubbles is a great product. I can also relate that it's the bending and stretching while scrubbing that can be a problem. We use a product that is put out by (I think) clorox. They are meant to be disposable toilet cleaners with built in detergent, but they come with a 2' handle that the scrubbers just pop on and off of. The handle makes scrubbing the tub (especially if it's been sprayed with something like the Dow product) much easier because you don't have to bend as much. There are two products on the market, one is meant to be disposed of in the toilet (bio degradable) - I am talking about the one that is NOT meant to be thrown in the toilet. You have to throw it away. It's got a scrubber surface on it, it pops on and off, and the handle reduces the bending.

In defense of topcat (not that he needs my defense) he didn't say anything anybody else didn't say. He just said it more succinctly. I note, however, that you took it differently than you took more wordy explanations.

His suggestion is sound. If you realize that you are submitting to your dominant (resulting in being late) it takes it out of the realm of a personal pet peeve and into the realm of submission to your dominant. This alone could negate your displeasure with it.

I didn't see him suggest that you weren't submitting, I saw him suggest that if you saw it as submission it might be easier for you.

i love Master with all my heart and this is the only thing that He does that still bothers me His other little quirks i've learned to take in stride. This one thing i just needed help with.
i like Your idea about the toilet scruber things. i know which ones You are talking about. Can those be used more than once if used on the tub? When we first started seeing the adds on TV Master said "NO WAY this world has become too much of a throw away society" If i could use it several times though i think He'd allow it.

Status: offline 		they have brushes with long handles, long like a broom, that you use for the bath tub, you don't have to bend at all, before i got that type of broom i use to always have a broom that was designated only for cleaning the tub, i haven't squat down on my knees to clean a tub in years....i save that for other activities, not for cleaning a tub! hehe

As far as being late, well, i agree with most here, you can't really change that, just go with the flow...i have the opposite problem, my Master is ALWAYS on time and is soooo organized, punctual, etc...i am the complete opposite, i am late everywhere, i am as disorganized as they get...so adjusting and changing my ways is quite the challenge but i have been doing my best ... so, just think, if it were the other way around it would probably be much more difficult for ya...
