I've always had a lot of trouble making and keeping friends, and let's not even discuss boyfriends ... so I guess you guys have to be my friends to talk to.
 
My foster mom, 43 years old, suffered a stroke last Tuesday. So far, we don't fully know the extent of the damage, but she's foggy around the edges and the doctors don't know if she's going to fully recover brain function.
 
Our family is devastated ... right now, just putting one foot in front of the other. Please think good thoughts.

That is very bad. It happened to my father, as well as many heart attacks.

I am sorry and am sending good thoughts and energy to you and your family. My grandmother had a stroke at a young age...it was very hard.

Best of luck, Caitlyn. That is a harsh blow for you and your family. Stay positive, you can only do what you can do and you have to be satisfied with that. I hope your mom has a speedy recovery.
