Since the topic of the need for a connection has been brought up, I personally would like to see us kinky people overwhelm E-harmony with blatant disregard for their "Must be looking for marriage" policy. I say do the free sign up, personality test thing, click the box that says you agree that you are using the site to look for a spouse and then go nuts with any user written section of the profiles! Put in that you are looking for an endless string of hot strangers for casual group sex, a masochistic submissive with a high tolerance for pain, a dominant with their own dungeon and a big strap-on, a nonsexual sissy-boy maid, etc. (what ever happens to be your fancy) and watch the vanillas squirm every time they do a search [sm=biggrin.gif] If they decide it's not worth it to continually weed out all the accounts that have anything to do with BDSM us kinky folk will have found a new resource for finding good, compatible Dom(me)s, switches and subs Maybe they'll even create a whole new "29 dimentions of compatibility" site just for us to be twisted on [sm=banana.gif]

MizPandora hit the nail on the head ... what in the world are you (Tenebrious) talking about? Sure, we (my husband and I) are seeking, but ... I love posting and reading the forums and boards. Most of my time is spent here in fact, on the boards. When I do post to someone I know that the 'trollers' on this site have inundated their mail with hundreds of crap, with mine but one among them. So ... I've not held much hope in our search on this site. But to go somewhere that is specifically set the oposite to what you wish is not a good thing, nor something that anyone should do. Again ... you wish respect like most of us do, I would assume ... then show some for others. That would include the vanilla community. It's people like you that make it difficult for the rest of us to mix well. My 2 cents.

Tenebrious, you sure have a lot to learn about the lifestyle. First I think you need to gain a little respect and a LOT of knowledge. I'm guessing you are very new to BDSM or very limited access to real-time BDSM folk, because it is FAR more than what you describe. In fact, what you describe makes you pretty much look like all the rest of the HNG's, wankers and wannabe's on this site, as that's their narrow definition of what we're all about as well. I find your disrespect toward the vanilla folk offensive as well. They have as much right to their preferences as we have to ours.

I was specifically replying to SIRBZ and his blathering that we here need a reality check when the post he was replying to was one in a series of cheeky jokes. That was all.

Wow Didn't think I'd get blasted so much for the humorous post. I didn't even make any racist comments or say I hated America or anything... Anyway, to calm your fears about me being just like every other knave you've ever encountered, I do, in fact, show respect for every vanilla (and kinky type) as well as their preferences (even though I do jest on occasion) and I do not plan to flood any inboxes with offensive unsolicited sexual advances. Since my sense of humor about my frustration with the conservative vanilla tendency to judge people for purely superficial reasons is obviously not appreciated here I will just consider this thread a wash and try to find another with posters who aren't quite as adversarial.

You weren't being funny. You were suggesting that we deliberately act disrespectfully in a non-BDSM environment.
