There are so many thoughts running through my head. For a lifestyle that is suppose to be nonjudgmental, there is a lot of judgment. Whatever works for your Master and for you, is perfect. You already have the qualities that I think are the foundation of a slave, i.e., independence, strength, and intelligence. To serve with your utmost, your own life and your own being have to be in order.

Slavery is indeed an intense feeling. It can be difficult to curtail once it blossoms out. You are very wise to respect it and to move slowly. In fact, you may find that many of your actions, thoughts, and feelings already are that of a slave. You should approach this stage of your DS life with respect, and it sounds like you are doing just that. How we arrive at slavery can be by birth or we can evolve. There is no set pattern.

I have been in service as a slave for the past seven years. To be allowed to serve my Master in any way that He pleases is something I consider a tremendous privilege. Prior to being in service, my life and spirit were restless. When I found my place, and found the right situation, the missing pieces of the my life's puzzle were found.

The best of luck to you. You are brave to move forward and search your feelings.

alayna knew many years ago, when living 24/7 with a dom as a sub. alayna did a lot of research into the whole BDSM thing, because although alayna knew that was what she was, never knew others felt that way and thus started learning. Anyway, alayna spoke to this dom about being a slave, but, he was never able to go to that level with alayna. His excuse was the small living space and his son, but there was so much he could have done, so much alayna yearned for. He died last year (rest in peace) and alayna took a road that took alayna to a LDR and now, to a wonderful, local, incredible Master. He is indeed a Master. Not a Dominant, not a Top. He is very strong in every way and He has alayna in His grip.

What this slave is trying to say is that for alayna, being a slave IS what alayna is. It was stirred up from deep inside many years ago. The yearning, the desire, to serve and serve unconditionally is inate in alayna. alayna really knows nothing else. alayna has a lot to learn, to be the best slave for Master Rob, but the desire, the feelings of being a slave, it is so hard to describe. Perhaps you are feeling the stirrings that alayna felt so many years ago. If your "one week trial" is real and good, alayna feels you will know, there will be no doubt inside your heart and soul. There are differences between being a sub and slave (not to be argued or brought up in this post of course) and once you find where you belong, you will know. Again, just alayna's opinion.
