Above is a link that is probably one of the funniest ways to deal with a telemarketer!The telemarketer is informed he has called a murder scene!

Hmm... I can't find it... says page can not be displayed... methinks that Gremlins be loose on the 'net!!! [:D]

I usually don't anwer the phone unless I'm expecting a call... I have caller id, but most of my family has their number blocked, soooo.... I call them [8D]. Unless I'm in a really bad mood & feel like sharing... then I answer if I think it's a telemarketer & have fun! *mwahahahahaha*

None, which should I have been a voting choice. No land line, they are a total waste of money.

Exactly.  Fantazmaster missed the whole point when I said I DID NOT NEED  and  DO NOT MISS  having a land line.  Gee, so I should continue to pay every month for a worthless piece of equipment and then spend the money on a Telezapper too?  And then do all the other tricks, wasting time, when disconnecting it was a piece of cake, and frankly, I don't even notice that I don't have a land line.  You can have a good time with all the websites, but I have piece of mind and $40 extra bucks to play with each month.

I know a lot of people who have done the same and completely agree.

I get calls from the National Democratic Committee, which annoys me a bit because of all of the scandal that is faced with our government.  When I vote, I want to make an informed decision about the candidates and the amendments that I decide whether I want to pass them or not.

Actually windchymes,your situation was one reason I went to the time and effort to post these devices, as it disturbed me that you could no longer use  your land line for dialup connections;.Certainly your decision regarding this landline removal is your business,but if making others aware of the availability of these devices means they can enjoy a disturbance free home life from these unwanted calls,then my whole purpose in posting this info has been fulfilled.

SohCahToa -> RE: unwanted calls! (10/29/2006 11:44:02 AM)

No I don't get calls from sales people

windchymes -> RE: unwanted calls! (10/29/2006 12:36:46 PM)

And you can have a disturbance-free home life by just having a cell phone.  Don't have to worry about long-distance rates, and you can take it with you.  Don't need to bother with an answering machine.  I've saved a lot of money that way.

kathy0162 -> RE: unwanted calls! (10/29/2006 12:38:06 PM)

I agree with all of you I get sick of them too and my Mom and me are on the state and federal no calling list and for are cell phones too
