i was just wondering how much control Owners have over their subs/slaves? im only relatively recently collared, but already i can feel my leash is getting shorter, heck, im even relocating closer to Mistress

this slave is property, nothing more, nothing less. Her owner has complete control over her.

I am not collared, I give as much as he asks of me. I do not know how else to put it. If he wants control over something he has it.

As the months tick by I have felt a slight tightening, but not unbearably so. Just a little here and there. I enjoy it...lol. I have actually volunteered to give away certain controls...smiles. By the time I am collared for real I will probably already be in my head...

The only one in controle of you is yourself. You make your choices in life and you deal with the outcome of those choices. That being said it's your choice how much of that controle you hand over to your partner. Your leash can only be as short or as long as you want it to be or let it be. For some, that is handing over complete controle, for others it's handing over very little and in some cases even none at all. It's all about the individuals involved.

If you practive TPE then of course you have less authority. Most discuss this ahead of time though. It normal as time passes that Master/Mistress assert more authority on you.

It's all about how much control you want to give them and how much control they want. My dominant wants me stay independent enough that I can still tell him to fuck off if he bothers me. Though if I could I would move closer to him... *sniffle* I hate long-distence.

I do not think I can add much more then what most have said, but the amount of control should be discussed upfront before entering into a significant level of a power exchange relationship. If you did this before and your Mistress is just moving slowly then are you having difficulty or you did not know or want to lose power in things that she is demanding?

In the end it will be about communication and what both parties want/need in that area. If this is unknown, I would suggest talking to your Mistress asap and see where both of you are at and want to go. If you have agreed to the control you have been giving up and are just scared because of the newness to you, then I would just express those feelings to your Mistress and try to relax and be patient.

Like the others said though, in the end, you are not powerless and every power exchange relationship is different from very little to total. It is what is right for both of you that is the correct amount.
