This is the place to share your bad beat stories with other poker players.

My worst beat came in a game of No-Limit Omaha. I was holding two aces and was double suited. The flop came Ace of clubs, 10 and jack of hearts. The turn was blank and the river came Ace of hearts which gave me quad aces.

It also gave my opponent a Royal Flush.

I've also lost several times to higher quads but don't consider that a bad beat since I didn't actually ever have the best of it in those hands.

What's your bad beat story?

Celeste

Well, we're talking poker here but for you, Siouxie, I'll make an exception. You can talk about any kind of beating you want!

Hiya BitaT,

I was watching the WSOP on tv earlier with the Owner. I have a theory that slaves are incapable of bluffing. Even though I am extremely lucky and will get great cards, one glance at my face tells the Owner everything. Do you think poker brings out your top side in order for you to bluff and win?

Those who know will understand...

Playing in a real brick and mortar tournament on the second day I clash with the other big stack at the table.

I raise big with meager Pocket 6's and get called by the big stack who is playing very tight. Flop comes down A A Rag-rainbow. I bet he comes over the top. I know he has the set but I'm "feeling" the hand so I move all in and am called as he flips over AK. Turn card is 6 clubs filling my boat and everyone watching goes crazy. I had just said to the table that he's got outs as the dealer turns up the case Ace to give him quads. He rode that stack to the final and walked away with $150,000. I'm a little queezy now just thinking about it, but I always say "If you haven't been sucked out on you're not playing enough poker"...
