Yes, we have met, we spent a week together on one vacation and a weekend on another.
He and I have quite a bit of realtime chemistry, which is why we are still together. And I am going to be relocating in a few months to his city, as well.  The frusterating bit is the interim, spending the holidays apart, not being able to chat when we want becasue of school responsabilities, things like that.

It helps to know I am not the only one dealing, yes.
My favorite nights are when I do get a phone call, he goes out for a walk, and he can end it with "I love you".  I'm not trying to whine. I am trying not to drive myself insane. Long Distance is the hardest thing in the world, when its a vanilla relationship.  Its even harder this way.
I feel like I cannot have the control I want, becasue I have to respect his current circumstance.  When I move in Jan/Feb, everything will change. I know that.
I am trying to just be grateful for what I have, and not miss what I had. Easier said tha done.

Hello DiurnalVampire,

I wish you success and recommend you try to keep your chin up.  He will eventually get out of school and if it is meant to be, it will be.

Good luck,

Sinergy

And you better work at it really hard just in case good fortune is actually running against you.

Actually, I prefer "If you love something, let it go. When it comes back to you, you know it was meant to be."
I have already been through that with him. At first, after our first meeting, he was unsure whether or not he could realisticaly be in that sort of relationship. I backed off, and told him to take al the time he needed to think about it.  It took him nearly a week after I came back home tat first time to call me and tell me he couldnt be without me. We have been very close since and my last face to face meeting cemented it.

I am feeling better about not being the only one in a situation like this.  I appreciate all the help and the support, and even the bitching.

I prefer:

If you love something, set it free.
If it comes back to you, it's yours.
If it doesn't, hunt it down and kill it!

Call me a romantic...
