If not the corporations who??

Will build airplanes?
will build cars?
will replace all the jobs lost if corporations close their doors?
Whose gonna get food to the table?

What would it be like without the corporations?

Your still part of the problem if all you do is complain and don't
offer alternatives. What are the alternatives?

In short the question answers itself: those things can easily be accomplished in the precise manner they were accomplished before the advent of the modern corporation. But the way you pose the issue it contains a false dichotomy - it's not either this or that, it's more about strict regulation of the corporations that are currently out of hand.

You can have a corporation, no problem. But I also think corporations should be regulated quite heavily - far more than they are now. See:
