Yep, it's pretty lame all right. My profile states very clearly that I am looking for friends and pretty much nothing but friends, and it explicitly says to not email me if you are looking for kinky play or sex or a Domme, please only email me if you're interested in making friends with no further expectations.
That's my personal method of sorting through the bullshit. If a guy stumbles across my profile and we have enough in common that he seriously wants to get to know me as a person and a friend regardless of whether or not kinky play happens, then I'm very interested. If not, then it's a deal-breaker and I'll know that right up front. I have absolutely no interest in entertaining proposals from yet another horny wannabe slave who apparently has no interests other than kink, no life outside of kink and no interesting features other than his penis, of which he has thoughtfully sent me a dozen photos. Yeah, that stuff gets deleted and blocked in a hurry.
In the meantime I've made some good friends here, as I also like chatting with folks who share mutual interests but are outside my parameters for a play partner. If I gain nothing other than that, I'll still be quite satisfied.
