SO you dont like the Gay look.. and that the gay look isnt Butch....

Oh well look at my pic, IM Bi came from the leather community( gay) and love looking the way I do. Im 5'11 and 260

My chaps are custom made and my vest is lined. why? i dont like the feel of leather against my skin. I will wear a t shirt or black dress shirt under the vest. my chaps I will wear either 501's or black jeans. Usually without underwear on.. for comfort.

My boots are polished military jump boots.... for looks.

DO i get cruise yep. By both nicely adn fairly often.

Just my thoughts

The chainmail is quite easy to make for yourself.. just contact your nearest SCA branch and ask about someone to show you how. SF is the Principality of the Mists... but... I think a breastplate over a gambeson, with the black fighting belt and trews would be a better look for a master than a kilt.. and I like kilts...

I dunno if I'd say mail is -easy- especially if you're going for rivited mail :) Though if you buy the pre-made rings it's just time consuming.

I have to agree about the lack of kilt, though I'd prefer chausses and mail. Not a big fan of breastplates.

Uh...is my geek showing yet? (it's funny, I was trying to feel out the board for SCA-associates in the collar color post, but no one bit :) )

Yeah, I guess easy shouldn't have been the word of choice, but just for fetish wear you certainly don't need riveted maille. Unless you arm the sub with a sword for the fun of it... hmm.. now there's a thot.

I would like to add, that as a person who likes clothing, dressing up for an occasion, i applaud your attitudes, here.

its the one thing that so far, im not indulged in *sighs*. always nice to see others are getting some[;)]

Somnovi -> RE: Dom Fetish Wear (2/2/2005 9:41:09 AM)

I'm a firm beleiver that duck tape can fix anything. . . . and it comes in all kinds of pretty colors, including black

DarkQuin -> RE: Dom Fetish Wear (2/2/2005 10:32:57 PM)

Hmmmmmmm..........duct tape on a Dom. I know a few who'd pay to see that and probably the same ones who'd pay even more to take it off. Well, more like rip off.

Another idea is to go Goth, why not be a bit bohemian in your hedonisn?

Money should be no object. Find you "look" and spend whatever is necessary. You will use it for a long time and it will give you an identity that says YOU.

My outfit is more than $1000; but I have had it since 1996 so when you amortize, it is not a big investment.

In a perfect world :) Unfortunatly, practicaly considerations arrise. 1000 would keep us in groceries for a =year= and I doubt either my partner or I can justify spending that on fetish gear.

I think that the clothes are less important that -you- That your identity comes from your self-perception and the way you carry yourself less than from the wayyou dress.

Granted, clothing says a lot about someone and often helps to get that person in the right mindset. (Throw me in one of my corsets and see what happens).

Too, it's a good idea to explore alternate methods of getting what you want. I shopped around for almost a year before investing in my first corset. I learned how to sew to make both my partner and I things more cheaply than we could buy them.

Kilt, broadsword, baldric, and chainmail vest. Kinda pricey, but definately breaks the mold. Chainmail is one of the few things that can make just about any guy look butch without seeming gay or insecure. It takes balls to wear something that outlandish, even here in the bay area.

Yeah and that is a VERY hot look.

Lily

*grins* Oh yeah.. guys in kilts are hot. I watched a scene a few months ago where a kilted Dom was spanking his girl. The scene was ok.. the guy in the kilt.. HOT. :-D
