IvyBlake -> Pet Play, Furries, Otherkin, etc. (10/6/2006 10:07:22 PM)

I am doing some research on Pet Play, Furries, Otherkin and the spiritual aspects of some of this. I was at a Pony Play demo where some very interesting people explained to the audience that when they get into their pony persona they (in their minds of course) become ponies through and through. I would like to research this further. There is an idea for a possible book in here somewhere. If you would like to discuss this further please message me at my collarme ID "IvyBlake". I would prefer to discuss this through emails rather than on the forum but wasn't sure where exactly to post it. Thank you in advance to all who respond.

Are furries part of our kind of fun?  I'm not objecting to them in any way, I just have this mental image of some poor Dom flailing away with a flogger, trying to make an impression through a layer of thick fur....

From those I know, the pet personas and their Furry selves are very much al encompasing.  They become whomever or whatever they are playing.  Its much like the persona switch when someone is a little girl or a baby boy... the personality completely fits the part while they are being that.

Good luck.  I know there are a few on here involved in those lifestyles, but not as many as I would ave thought.

Anything can be part of "our fun."  While furries tend to be a separate type of sub culture, they can easily be incorporated into the Ds dynamic.  There's always the famous Midori in a bunny costume story.

Ok, that's mean.  Now you have to tell the story, for those of us who've never heard it.
