I submitted a post saying Bush would attack Iran, but it seems
to have disappeared. I wonder why?

That whole thread was pulled? Did You not receive an email from a Mod, explaining why? (Frankly, i cannot imagine what provision of the TOS that thread might have violated, but i can't say i remember every single post on it.)

It's something that we and everyone else knows. What's the point in posting common knowledge. Did you think you were the only one who knew? After what the Iran Leader said at the last UN meeting about bringing America, Europe, and the rest of the world to its knees, I'm supprised we have not already attacked.

If the UN had balls and started doing what it is suppose to do, that SOB Iran Leader would have been beaten to a bloody pulp by all the other UN leaders before he could finish that retarded speech.

Right, the whole thread pulled without explanation. I mentioned I was betting $30,000, and
the pay-off will likely be 10-to-1, but my bet will be a legal one. It will be a stock play.

I bet $30,000 that Bush Sr. would invade Iraq in 1992. I bought oil futures. But even
though I was right, I did not make a dollar. In fact, I lost a few. But I learned from my
mistake.

The attack on Iran will be a lot easier than the war to remove Saddam from power, and
the war to remove the Taliban in Afgahnistan. The US public will support Bush. No
matter what happens it will help the Republicans win in 2008. It will make up for our
loss in Iraq. It will strengthen our positon in the world.

Please clarify which branches of our armed forces will be used to invade and occupy Iran. I dont know what news you read, but I read last month that military recruitments are running approximately 25,000 or more people behind each quarter.

This is why I never allowed my son to join the Boy Scouts.

What does the USA propose to do with Iran should they invade and defeat it? Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran will be roughly the equivalent of about a third of the area of the USA (excluding Alaska). Holding that much land would be stretching even US military to the limit, especially when the US administration seems to be clueless as to what to do with these countries. I can't see any other countres being willing to send troops to support a third US invasion when its allies are reluctant to even put enough troops into Afghanistan, a country many thought the US had a right to invade after 9/11. Oh, and the little problem of N Korea.

What I don't understand is why the US administration refuses to even talk to Iran and N Korea, not to mention the legitimate government of the Palestinians (which incidently proves to people of the middle east the US only believes in democracy on its terms). The idea that all can be solved with a few smart bombs exposes the intellectual void at the heart of the Bush administration.

If Bush attacks Iran, I stand to make $300,000, if he doesn't, I will probably
lose $30,000. My bet will be legal. Our goal will not be to defeat Iran.
We will not invade it like we have Iraq. We will just destroy their atom
bomb program. We will destroy their centerfuges, their nuclear reactors,
and some other limited targets.
