Status: offline 		Does anyone else here despise just aimless waiting?

At the moment, i'm waiting on 3 different ppl and well i'm annoyed.  Okay, i'm not annoyed, i'm like drumming my fingers. Impatient!  Thats the word.

And its not the "hey give me x amount of time"  Its one of those waiting around, wondering if people are going to contact you back, how long it'll take em, and IF.

So YES i'm complaining because i'm ready to Go and i'm being held up.

Bah

who else wants to complain with me?

Status: offline 		It depends what I am waiting for and why, and if there are things I can be doing while waiting. 

Yesterday I was at the doctors and was waiting in the examination room, clothed in a paper gown for 40 minutes doing absolutely nothing but sitting....and waiting....and getting frustrated.  So I picked up my cell phone and called the receptionist, and said "Hey it's me over in Exam Room 2 and I'm feeling neglected."

I mean really.  If I had been 40 minutes late to my appointment, they would have cancelled it.

If I am waiting on my Master, I will wait as long as it is required.  If I am waiting on a friend and he/she is excessively late, I'll call.  If I can't reach him/her, then I'll go about my day, doing whatever it was I would have done had I not made plans.

Status: offline 		I know what you mean.  Not so much like waiting for a plumber, but like waiting to hear back from your interview on whether or not you got a job or something.  Yeah, it sucks. 

But whatever it is, try to keep it in perspective.  Sometimes I think we place too much importance on these things we're waiting for. We tend to build these things up in our minds and give them more meaning than they really have because we have nothing to do but imagine the worst possible scenerio, while we are waiting.  Nothing ever turned out to be nearly as bad as I imagined it.  (Dont know if this is exactly where you're coming from.)

Let me tell you something....

I'm having three buildings designed for a commercial office park.

I'm REALLY fucking mellow.

The architect was late on THREE consecutive meetings.

(The least she was late was over 35 minutes).

She's a babe.  Totally.

(She know's she's a babe).

She thinks it's cute to be late.

"Oh...traffic/my mascara/my employees/blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah....."

I told her the last time we met (and she was 49 minutes late and I sat there in the middle of the FREAKIN day having ANOTHER drink) "LOOK!!!! My time is valuable....I assume yours is as well...but I really don't give a shit how you value yours....mine is like gold...if you think it's cute to be late...find yourself another client....I DON'T think being late is cute....and while I may think you are...I don't think my lost time IS...get it together...be a freakin professional!.

The last two meetings she was waiting for me.

ME waiting is unnacceptable.

If I'm on time I FEEEEL an hour late. I've been as earley as 4 hours and never late on
purpose.

Now, realistically, I can't hold others to that high a standard of puncuality. If I'm
meeting someone for the first time at , say, 1pm I give them 20-30 min and then
leave. However, I have been known to wait up to an hour as I know there are those that just can't get anywhere on time. If it goes any further I will definately help them with that problem.

Now people I meet online are a whole nother kettle of fish. Especially during initial
contact. They often take days between any contact and there's just nothing you can do about that.

Is the wwait worth it ? Maybe, maybe not.

I think if things can't get on track in say 2 weeks then quit fishing and cut bait.

Status: offline 		Was late on Thursday to meet my Dom.  We were meeting an hour and a half drive away from me.  That would be on a good day but i was further away this time and since i had said i would be there between 12:30 and 1 i thought is was doing well getting there at 1.  Sir did not think so and was a bit inpatient that i was late.  Fortunately for certain parts of my anatomy i am rarely late.  Won't be again would rather get a speeding ticket.  LOL was just thinking about a cop pulling me over and asking me where is was headed in such a hurry.  Think of the look on his face when i say i have to meet my Dom to get my ass whipped and i can't be late or other parts will hurt even more.   LOL i like that look.

Status: offline 		Actually i was WAITING on a friend to respond to an IM so i could get her directions and go to her house, i had been waiting on my Master all day to tell me what was up for the day and i was waiting on this really hot cutie to reply to the text i sent him.

Found out later - that the cutie thought my text was just a statement.  LOLOL  So i had to explain to him that it was "my" way of saying hi, so now in the future he knows to respond.  BUT i did ask him to cheer me up the other night and he was majorly prompt and called with in 2 min

ummmmm and yeaaaaaaaaaaah ppl want to meeet me all the time.  Mr cutie  is still waiting to meet up with me.  I call him Mr Cream cos when ever you see his picture you just want to cream.  Gawd he's fucking hot.  But the drive is just waaaaaaaaaay too long and i dun have enough hours to drive an hour there and back and spend a few hours.... man what a pain in my ass. 

and i wait on ppl all the time, annoys the shit out of me.  Personally, if i HAVE to wait, i want to know how long.  Tell me, wait 5 hours for all i care.  Or hell tell me to wait 3 days.  So long as i know there is a time limit to it and i dun have to wonder just how fucking long.  BUT if its "hey i need to do x, give me a sec or 1 1/2 hours" then its all cool.  Because i KNOW and knowing is half the battle. 

good deal calling the doctors office.. imma try that sometime!
