Greetings all funseekers (sore balls or not) .... I used to get the biggest kick outta attendin' psychologist conferences (I called em sick-ologist conventions) back in the '80s and '90s when Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) was all the rage. Amused me no end to stroke my chin and muse agreeably when my therapist colleagues raved about the effectiveness of CBT. A small pleasure perhaps, but damn I enjoyed telling some tight-ass moralistic prude that "trying a little CBT for yourself' would be a great thing ... DD PS... saw the LA opening of Shortbus last night. It showed real-sex, real-love, and real-kink as funny, human, exciting, silly, orgasmic, frustrating, flawed, pointless, redeeming, exciting, boring ... all at the same time. It also features the clueless floggings of a pro-domme who clearly knew dick-all about how to whup on her boyz. I liked it a lot. So did Manohla Dargis of the NYT. To quote "As utopian visions go, it doesn't get much better than Shortbus, a film in which all you need is love -- and sex, lots and of mutually, sometimes collectively, pleasurable sex....." http://movies2.nytimes.com/2006/10/04/movies/04shor.html?ref=movies
