The Yankees won in 2000, and I don't do that Yankee-hatin' 2000-was-technically-still-in-the-20th-century stuff.

And, even if the Mets win this year, that's still only one for NYC this century.

So much for the Mets.  Even counting 2000, the score stands:  Tucson Arizona, 2 World Series Championship teams in the current century, New York, 1.

Laughing...you're not giving this one up without a fight, are you...

There is no major-league team in Tucson.  Spring training doesn't count.  The World Series is called the FALL CLASSIC, not the Spring Classic.

Hahahahahaha.
Let's go Mets!

Poor poor Mets!

Ouch... what a way to lose the whole kit and kaboodle. With 2 outs, the winning runs on base in the bottom of the 9th of game 7, the batter looks at a called 3rd strike.

Geez... and here I thought only the Cubs were capable of losing so painfully.

Let's gone Mets [:D]

Spring training counts when you live in a place that is spring training home to three major league teams.  Cheap tickets, cozy ballparks, perfect weather and major league players.  Works for me.

The Mets had the bad luck of injuries, Willie Randolph was out-managed, & still it went to the 9th inning of the 7 th game in doubt. I wonder why FOX kept using the Fox-track strike zone. Was it to show the umpires were clueless?

I didn't even watch the game...heard it was a good one.
