The first meeting between my boy and I. We had a few hours to kill between when I arrived that afternoon and when we were able to check into the hotel. He took me to a park, and we sat and talked for a while. He shushed me, out of no where. When I objected (I hate being shushed, especially by a pet of mine) he said please, be quiet. Just for a minute. Then, he told me to turn around, sowly. When I did, there was a doe standing less than 2 feet from out park bench. She had a foalwith her too. I had mentioned way back when we had first met that I had never seen a deer in real life, aside from in a zoo. The deer caem closer, and Angel never turned around so he didnt startle her. She got close enough to sniff at me, and even licked my face befre she and the foal bolted away. I was amazed. It was a once in a lifetime thing for me, being a city kid that had never been around parks with anything but squirrels in them. He admitted that he knew the deer was going to come over, that it wasnt random luck. He had been feeding her, as had many others in the park. She was used to people and often came close. The foal was a bonus. I was very impressed by the amount of work put into this little surprise. It was a hell of a first impression to make on his prosepctive owner, remembering the comment about always wanting to see a deer. He has done other things since, remembering my favorite restaurant among others. But the first impression with the deer will always be my favorite. DV
