If you handy with a drill, why not drill some holes in your bed frame, so you can just lif the box sprin up a little, and use a clip on it. They are CHEAP from any local hardware store or even Walmart.

Buy a four poster :)  It's the only acceptable form of bedding for kinksters.

Can I get an Amen?! I am also fond of the idea of eyebolts under a captain's bed...wanted one of those as the base for my futon for many years, but by the time I got one...life it was a changin' and I never got the chance to install my hardware. *snif*

Seriously, though, that won't do you any good between now and when your subbie shows up. Back when my bed was just a futon mattress on the floor, I had two pieces of inexpensive polypropylene rope in an X-shape beneath it, each with a loop at either end. Short enough that they didn't peek out, but long enough that they could easily be reached. This gave us something to which we could attach ties of whatever ilk. If you have a more standard bedding arrangement, I'm sure the same thing would work between the mattress and the box spring. Similar to what Ron mentioned earlier, except I think my arrangement might be less likely to come loose if, say, only the hands or only the feet are restrained.

Have fun with your new sub!

Build an x-H frame. Measure bed from corner to corner.Buy 3 pieces of lumber (1x4, 2x4 etc.) line up two pieces and drill hole on center for bolt to go through, when opened forms x. Remaing piece cut in half and use as bracing, near top of X frame. align and drill holes for bolts and wing nuts. Add screw eyes to end of X frame, once assembled place under matress for use. Breaks down for storage.

LeatherBentOne -> RE: a question of restraint (10/11/2006 5:00:28 AM)

Try Ace Hardware.  I don't know the exact name, but there are "thingies" that look like D rings that can be adjusted in size by a bolt and slipped under the leg of the bed; attach bolt with chains then add your fave restraint.  This makes a great anchor and whatever you decide to attach can be easily detached, chains kicked under the bed in an instant.  Functional, quick and easy, discrete and inexpensive.

Have fun,
LBO

Leather,
we used those, with a metal stud plate, you know the sharply edged ones pounded into the bottom edge of lumber, for our restraints. Definately works! Not the best if someone is going to panic since it takes a few mins, but I love them. Two sets. One with and without that plate. Good advice!

Home Depot is a good Bondage -R- Us store.

MasterC46910 -> RE: a question of restraint (10/11/2006 8:09:54 AM)

Look at the tow straps in the Auto Parts stores.  They come in different lengths, heavy duty, already have loops on each end to run ropes, chains, hooks and such though.  Depending on your bed and length of tow strap, you can run them completely under the bed, under the mattress, lengthwise, crossways, widthwise, etc.   Lots of ties and scarves available from Goodwill and other such stores really cheap.

Amaros -> RE: a question of restraint (10/11/2006 8:38:12 AM)

Server must be having a bad hair day, slow loading here, os it's not just Australia - anyway, yeah, heh, I get a lot of strange looks because of all the scarves I buy, lol. [8|]

becca333 -> RE: a question of restraint (10/11/2006 9:32:36 AM)

We use the elastic webbing that covers a box trailer - it has different names in different countries, I think.  We loop it around the legs at the head of the bed, and it stretches nicely across the top of the bed.  Hands can be restrained in cuffs, or tied, in various positions along the strap.  Feet are tied to straps attacthed to the legs at the foot of the bed.

A big advantage of this is that everything we use has a regular purpose, so it's fewer things we have to hide.

Gotta love it when a plan comes together, n'est ce pas?

Support your local hardware store.......the mind is filled with virulent notions upon entering the hallowed university of  depravity......even after all these years.

becca333 -> RE: a question of restraint (10/15/2006 4:38:38 AM)

It's not just hardware stores - somehow almost any shop offers interesting possibilities.  Makes even a normal shopping trip far more exciting.

But when I'm really buying something for a 'special' purpose, I somehow feel that everyone KNOWS what it's for, as if there's a huge sign over my head announcing my evil intentions.

canupleaseme -> RE: a question of restraint (10/15/2006 4:46:12 AM)

becca333 -> RE: a question of restraint (10/15/2006 4:50:09 AM)

You should see me in my local saddler's.  You try walking around there, looking at all the crops and leather straps, you try not to drool, you try to look as if you actually have a horse....

DAMN that place has fantastic crops!

canupleaseme -> RE: a question of restraint (10/15/2006 4:55:19 AM)

ha ha  the funny thing is tho because i felt so aware then of what i looked like i starte looking at other people and by the time i had left i was sure who was domme and who was sub just by how they were looking at stuff too it was quite funny

Tenebrious -> RE: a question of restraint (10/15/2006 4:59:24 AM)

I make my own stuff, so I really don't have to worry about people seeing me buy things.  Who's gonna think something weird about sheet metal or heavy-duty chain?  Same thing for the bed frame.  I cut and welded together my own frame from square steel with big ass D rings attached to the head and foot.  It works great and the D rings just flip down out of the way when not in use. :)
