I don't mind pieces of another person appearing in a photo, I just assume they felt it was a flattering one and worth cropping to post in a profile.  The ones that make me roll my eyes and move on to the next profile are the ones who post a dozen or more photos of themselves in the EXACT SAME POSE!  The clothing and surroundings and seasons may change, but they are photographed from the exact same angle with the exact same toothy smile and exact same Stanley the Manly pose in every single one of them.  I can picture him saying, a la John Lithgow, "God, I'm GORGEOUS!!!" as he's posting them.

I don't mind multiple photos when they're close up, then full body, then hiking with the dog, then beside the car, on the beach, and so on.  But when a guy posts multiples of what is nearly the exact same likeness, it just tells me that he's pretty full of himself and likes himself a whole lot better than he'll ever like me.

All my pics are just me.  Course I have 3 digital cameras and a camera on my cell phone.   I think the availability of digital cameras is such that almost anyone can get access to one if they truely want.  I also hate it when they are cropped.  Course I hate most professional pics because they are retouched too.

Request that your pictures being developed (non digital) get developed using standard density.

Then they simply develop them to the base standard and allow the photographer to do things with lighting and effect on the spot.

Not sure how that works with digital photos.  I have not bought myself a digital camera yet, and the one on my phone takes pretty lousy pictures.
