Status: offline 		Hi. I am looking to acquire some new gear. In particular a good leather harness and strap on, among other items. For a few reasons, I cannot shop on line. However, I will be travelling from upstate ny to Philly next week on the NJ Turnpike. Any good stores near my route?

Status: offline 		If you don't mind a detour into Manhattan, there is Kinematics on W 37th Street just east of 6th Ave (aka Avenue of the Americas) - pretty convenient to the Lincoln Tunnel.  Further south there is Purple Passion on W 20th Street between 7th and 8th Aves.

I too am looking for a good store in NYC and I wasnt aware of this "Kinematics". Do they have a website i wonder? I too prefer to buy in person, and would like to "see the goods" so to speak, especially when its bdsm stuff. I will have to check out that store next time im near Penn station since it appears to be close and im down there in Midtown almost every weekend. Thanks for the heads up ...

I've not been up to the store since it's changed hands several years ago, but I'd wager that they've continued the traditions that Constance had instilled in the business.  Lifestyle owned and operated fetish shop.

DFP has changed hands twice since Constance owned the store. My Former Master purchased it from Constance after John's passing, and then was not able to renew the lease in the location it had always operated under.  The store reopened again sometime last year in a new location.  I am told the couple who runs it are very scene friendly, and they also hold monthly play parties. DFP is now at 220 Bloomfield Ave. Montclair, NJ.

I have to agree.  This is a great shop.  The town itself is just fun to relax in and hang for an afternoon too.

I can't argue.  Having been the manager, and with Joy being a good friend......it's on the top 5 of places for people to go in the Philly area when they come to visit!
