This particular post is a bit off topic, but I feel as though i will get the best responces here.

A friend injured himself at work while jumping on a shovel to get through tough ground. His hands slipped off the handle of the shovel and it whipped into the most sencitive of places. He has experienced alot of pain for the last couple of days. I told him no matter how embarrassing it is, its very important to get his "boys" checked out. I painted the ugliest picture possible on the "if you dont get them checked" line, but he is still too embarrised to get checked.

Is there any advice someone can give me outside of dragging him to the emergency room and pulling his pants down.

When it comes to guys and this particular area- I've noticed they are just irrational.  If his own pain isn't enough to get him going, and if their intimate partner can't convince them, nothing will.

Drag him to the emergency room and pull his pants down.  He could have serious injuries, even long-term problems.

The ER staff have seen far worse, trust me.

Ask him what he would do if the shoe were on the other foot and it were his son, say? Would he let him be so stoic? I am sure he would do for his son, what you are on the brink of doing for your friend.

1. The circulation could be affected and they might have to come off (and, I am not talking about his pants)
2. That would mean he would not have any danglies to have kids, to play with and/or to ensure that his voice stays low... oif he thinks he is embarassed now - tell him to wait until he is taking testosterone pills in front of his co-workers and they ask him to explain why.

Tell him not to worry a bit.  In three or four days they'll probably fall off of their own accord.  Problem solved.

He could have a ruptured testicle. It will become necrotic if not treated quickly and scrotal areal will turn necrotic which is dead black tissue. And we all know what surgeons do with dead no longer living body parts. [sm=hewah.gif]

I did, thanks, kendckey. at this point i am not concerned with his job or the conciquences there. to me, the thing that matters is his health. i will use the "dont worry about it, they will fall off" idea from rover. nothing like reverce psycology. I almost have him convinced to go to the doctor, and i am to the point of dragging his ass to the doctor.

he went today to get checked, said there was enough pain and worse comes to worse he'd get his nuts fondled.

there was some bruising, and a slight twist of one on the testicles. he will be fine, no sugery, good drugs, no sex for a week. (maybe the drugs will make up for it)

Slight twist of one of the testicles?  Damn, I dont even have them and those words made me flinch.  I am glad to hear your friend, and the boys, are going to be okay.

Get out a really nice porn movie and let him watch it.  When nothing happens or the pain worsens then perhaps he will realize it is not getting better on its own.  If that fails congratulate him on his new status of eunich.
