And just a comment on the idea that you should get an "experienced submissive"

Discuss that idea with other Dominant women in your local scene and ask for a recommendation.  There are experienced do-me subs who love pouncing on newbie Dommes.  We watch them throw themselves at every new girl who arrives in the scene.  Get a good sub (highly regarded by others in the scene) or you will be a laughing stock from the outset.

I am not a fan of being taught by my own subs.  A pro-domme gave me my first real slave and he was a great teacher, but it was nigh on impossible to feel dominant being taught what to do by your own slave :).

I prefer being taught by pro-dommes and practising on their subs.

I am new to all of this, but I already know that I am
very dominant..
My question is how do I explore this side of me?
I want to bring out this in me..

Seek an experienced submissive.

as many others have said, just be yourself. and when exploring that side of Your interests with Your hubby or bf, be sure to move slowly and guage things on Your partner's reacions. since being sub is sooo not the social norm, even guys with sub interests typically are slow to admit them until they know for absolute sure, You'll not think them weird or somthing...

I have to echo the comments that have already been made.  I don't want it to sound harsh, but read, read, READ.  Play parties are great, finding a Mentor is wonderful, but unless you are jumping straight into full time, those things aren't always readily available when One is on the quest for knowledge.  It may sound old fashioned, but you can take a book with you almost everywhere.  There is always something new to learn.  Something more to try.  If you are brand new, you are probably trying to soak up everything you can get your hands on.... And.... Why not?  There is a whole world out there waiting for you.  Good luck in your journey!

There's a great group in Ct called Femdom  Circle.  They're knowledgeable but very friendly and helpful.

Just have fun and communicate. I wouldn't consider myself and 'experienced' sub, but I'm experienced enough to know that I  want my Domme to have fun, enjoy herself and relish in her role.

Personally, I would love to be with a novice Domme who knows what she is, and who she wants to be and just hasn't gotten there yet. I find the journey and the new experiences to be fascinating and fun. Hopefully most others do as well.

Don't be afraid to admit what you don't know......wait, maybe that's good for all of us.
