I'm surprised no one's brought this up before -- and don't tell me you never watch "Desperate Housewives," everybody watches "Desperate Housewives" -- but I want to ask about that red-headed desperate housewife who's enraged at her husband because he went to a pro-domme to get the kind of kink he couldn't get at home.

I think it's obvious she will eventually reconcile with him and start doing kinky things to him. That's predictable. That's the way the show works.

My question is, when the show lets us learn that she's doing kinky things with him, will they show her wearing some fetish gear, show her with a paddle or some other instrument of torture in her hand? And will we hear a "SMACK!" on air?

Important stuff, and this inquiring mind wants to know.

"Desperate Housewives" is on at 9 p.m. Eastern time, 8 Central, dunno about the other time zones, on Sundays on ABC.

The redheaded woman is named "Bree Van De Kamp" (her husband is "Rex") and you can go to the show's Web site here (they have episode summaries):

No, it's not obvious they will reconcile and do kinky things. There is an equal shot that the pharmacist that is showing signs of mental breakdown in conjunction with his obsession of Bree will kill the husband after the moron belittled the guy who give him his heart medication. Just one more example that book learning (being a doctor) doesn't make you smart ;)

Seriously, since Bree told him that all she wants is revenge for his affair, and he wants the woman to be the dominant part of the relationship, should it go that way it will in no way paint this type of thing postively. It will be just one more example of how it'ss perverted, cheating, or abusive that is much more common as the bottom line on TV.

Sandy's comments are exactly why I would never watch the show. I certainly don't need to get stuck on a soap opera. I'd rather spend my time living life instead of being chained to the television on certain days of the week.
What about doing things with friends? Getting things done around the house? Investing in family? Pick up a book and learn something?

While i don't know that answer...i was watching the show when the redhead got done up in beautiful lingerie for her hubby...and damn, what a body she was hiding!

i know that's not politically correct, but it was definitely appealing.

Hi Gloria,

I Tivo everything and watch it at my convience. I normally have 1-3 hours at night after Race is in bed, an hour in the morning and his nap to watch things. I play poker online and *listen* more than watch most things, but I as I mentioned in another thread, I don't deal with silence well. All I can do is *listen* for any sound I'm missing...

I play games with and read to Race ever day, go out to Karaoke one - three nights a week, have company, go to movies, and read books all the time. But honestly, Master is making me put Race into daycare, for the interaction with others his age, so I am going to have even MORE freetime :( Thank goodness I can atleast walk shows that I find funny like Desperate Housewifes and Monk :)

Actually, I don't watch desperate housewives. So far as I know there are no vampires, wizards, witches, tentacled horrors from dimension x, time travellers, multidimensional phone booths, space ships, or scantily clad alien princesses. 90% of everything I watch is on scifi or toon. I am a geek gawd and have no time for mainstream mundanity.

Even before the BDSM episode I've found it funny and enthralling. I enjoy wondering what will happen next in their crazy town. I want to know who the woman was in the chest. I want to know what the neurotic son will do... what the killer son will do... so many questions yet to be answered. And I really enjoy the intro to the show!

I can't get into the whole reality TV thing. I have my own reality and it's tough enough to handle most times.

When I plop in front of the idiot box it's to watcha DVD, the history channel, South park, the news (preferably BBC) or a movie channel HBO has been putting out some fantastic shows - Sopranos, Six Feet UNder, The Wire and my new favorite Carvinale.

Speaking of HBO, has anyone seen the Final letter's from Iraq special. I was moved beyond words. I was especially saddened by the letter from the man that called his wife 1 week prior to his death asking her not to read it right away. She was pregnant, and the letter he mailed 1 week prior to his death did not arrive until 4 weeks later (after his passing) when she arrived home from giving birth to their child. He knew he was not going to make it home and wrote to both his children and his wife, it was very moving and full of love for all of them.

I am still at a loss for words as to what I felt while watching that show.

As far as desperate housewives goes.. never seen it.

I could not care less about a show on Sunday Night, but the Promo with Terrel Owens got my attention.[:)] Did you here that Nicolette Sheridan was origonally supposed to come on to John Madden.
