as long as i've lived, i've always pondered this question. for me, there's no real surprises anymore and things i won't do tend to get longer as i age. but, of course, these days, nothing shocks me...grosses me out, that's another story altogether.

Sex with my ex husband was totally over-rated g But with the right person and right dynamic there really isn't anything much better. IMHO anyway S

Sex is only as good as the two of them can make it. We can become used to certain acts, master some of them but that simple pleasure cannot be escaped and we all want it, even if it for the intimacy.

Sex can be overrated when its being done for the act and not for the emotions. We can get sex anywhere, it isnt hard to find. Sex worth having with soeone worth having it with is different. And obviously, for my little one and im sure for others, sex is also worth waiting for. He is saving himself for the "right one" and his wedding night. Makes for a strange bit of limit jockeying, but I respect his decision, and I am willing to wait. He has already told me I was the "right one", after all. DV

I think whether it is over rated or not depends a lot on your partner. It was definitely over rated with my ex for one. I think if you and your partner really click then it's good/great etc. and if you both like to experiment at times it's even better. I've had mindblowing sex and sex that sucked. There are a lot of variables to figure.

Having 2 extreme sides to me, if I'm not intimately connected to the man somehow, I can be as cold as a fish, and indeed sex is highly overrated; but when it is done with the right person and in the right way, there is nothing as satisfying or fulfilling (at least at that moment) in my opinion. M

well, since you're probably in a more poplulated area, the odds are more in your favor...plus you probably have a vehicle or some means of getting around. that seems to be a big issue these days.

Sex with the wrong person or unsatisfynig sex is certaintly over rated. hardly.... The worst sex I ever had was positively fanstastic. Sex is like dancing; one partner can be lousy at it and you can still have an incredibly fun time if you enjoy the art of the moment. Two bodies in perfect sync together is magick. If you spend all your time alone on the dance floor doing the jerk you dont have much time to learn how to waltz.
