He found me online in a vanilla chatroom (didn't know what vanilla was back then!). He led me into a Femdom chatroom to meet his friends - all of whom are local. A few weeks later I met him for lunch, then met them at a house play party. I already knew I was a strong, independent woman, but I had never thought of myself as dominant (I totally laugh about that now!). One of his friends became my mentor and I collared him a few months later. I will never forget that first play party though. I was mesmerized watching the different scenes in all the rooms - violet wand, clothespins, fire, crops, paddles, a cage, all kinds of restraints including rope, and wax (oh my gawd!) It wasn't really intimidating, more fascinating than anything else. Everyone was so friendly, so welcoming, and so non-threatening. I quickly found a group of local friends for munches and more parties, then the dungeon opened and we had a place to play more regularly. That original collar and I broke up after nearly 3 years together, and now, 10 years later, we are back together again. We have grown up a lot since then. Time has mellowed us, and allowed me to learn so much more about this craft. Our lives are in very different places now and we can experience time together in ways that we only fantacized about before. Now, I find myself enjoying leading others gently into this lifestyle as they explore and learn. I feel like I need to be an ambassador of sorts to show them that there are some wonderfully genuine people out there and to help them learn to spot those who only intend to use them (not in a good way). When at the dungeon, I typically find myself in the "teacher" role for new Dommes and subs. Once in while (I really wish it was more frequently), I even find a Dom or Domme who actually knows what they are doing and I get to watch and drool and wish it was me on the other side. Anyway...that's how it all started for me.
