My hair is bland.  I've considered allowing it to go back to it's natural color...................but quite honestly, natural sucks.  Women get to re-create themselves every morning, with the fresh possibility of a new identity emerging with every major fashion decision, and right now, I just want a fresh look.

What is a good hair color for men with naturally pale skin and brown eyes?  Bleach blonde and/or highlights just ain't cuttin' it like it once did.  My hair looks shitty when it's long, so I don't really want to grow it out anymore.  Believe me; I've had this same "thing" going on for about eight months now, and I'm no longer happy with my appearance.

Any well put criticism with good advice is welcome...........but don't even start rippin' at this, cause I know that 85% of your men ain't exactly fashion model, material either.  Like I said...........I just want novelty, and something that looks good.

I personally prefer dark hair with brown eyes,  I am not all that fond of blonde men to be honest.  You could get some low lights put in, or something like that, it would add some depth but you get away from the highlighted look that you are tired of.  Maybe some warm maple tones, or something along that line.  I don't see you in longer hair, the trimmed and neat look just looks a lot better on you IMO.

I think your blonde hair looks cute. You look great the way you are and you're probably just looking for complements, lol.  Don't change a thing. Some of us like blondes, some like dark hair, some like big, some like small, just go for it.  JD

My wife owns a salon and she says' "Take it darker, maybe chestnut and then wear it all messed up and scattered on the top." Then She'll talk about the whipping boyflesh.

I've made it darker now.......but it's really, really DARK.   I messed it up on top, but maybe I'll change my mind and go a shade or two lighter.

You should go darker now that winter's coming go a darker color and infuse some sort of highlights in it Like go a dark brown not black and then throw some red in. A dark rich red.

go to a salon!!!!!

actually, what i'd do is dye it allover to most closely match your natural color, and then go for two colors of highlights. caramel, and soemthing darker...  once you get the natural color all over, you can just do the highlights, without ahving to retouch roots, too, and it's just easier to maintain. As spring comes, lighten the highlight colors, and put them in more, and then as winter comes, lessen those, and add more med to dark colors.

one thing i cannot stand (on men or women) is someone with naturally darker hair that dyes it blonde-ish, and then has these BROWN eyebrows that just don't go with anything.

I'm going to have to say that I agree with the majority of opinions already stated.  A medium brown with some deep red or caramel scattered in.  I agree with the messier look on the top with bits and pieces askew.  Personally, I do not like blonde hair on men, and with the fall and winter coming, darker is better anyway.  Let us know what you end up with.

Ummm this will sound weird, but you can also wash your hair with about a tablespoon of powdered laundry soap. Its really abrasive and will fade out a couple shades of the dye.

Novelty huh? Well, Manic Panic makes a really great shade of pink that I am sure would be very novel at those biker bars you like to frequent .

But i could be wrong about that

(pale skin and dark eyes and hair are a very comely combo)

I agree with most.  I am partial to men with dark hair.

I'm going through the same thing with mine right now!  The cost of doing the blond high and low lights and battling the gray is just getting way too expensive.  I've got my blond grown out about halfway to reveal my light ash blond natural color with the white and gray sparkles.  Now THAT's bland!  I'll probably cave and start getting it colored again because when I go in for a haircut..my  current hair dresser and my old one are side by side and  they have this discussion over the top of my head while I'm being worked on:  "So, WHAT is she doing with it?"  "She's letting it grow out to see if she likes it natural" "

(stunned silence with a sigh)"  That's girl-talk for "you have got to be kidding"

My recommendation (take it for what it's worth);

DO not do the home do-it yourself bit.  Have it professionally done.  Tell them what you are thinking.... vague or not.. but I'm sure they will have more ideas than I do.

I'd have to agree with others about the darker hair color with red highlights.
It'd look really nice on you.
