Just questioning - why the 'other' and 'switch' isnt seperated into male and female catagories like the rest?

A very good question...
Mainly because being my first poll I didn't really think it through, and I had the whining thread in mind where switches weren't really an issue coz they don't whine apparantly...

As for other, well LA just asked for Other, she didn't specify genders as well, so you can blame her for that...

Since Owner and Goddess werent available, Domme was about as close as I get. Angel refers to me as those to, I myself just know im Dominant. *shrug*

Well, congratulations on your first poll!

It's quite intriguing really. I was reading the forums this morning, seeing how people observe things, their age, and their orientation wtc and very nearly posted a very similar thread (because I hadn't seen one in a while) on how people define themselves/what they define themselves as... because there is so much more to being dominant or submissive than those words.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy CM, but I would like to see a more distinct and individual 'labelling' system as I personally feel it is far too limited... I know it has been mentioned before, but no harm in hinting again...

True, but then the poll is limited in the number of fields allowed, so ya can't please all...
And I think when it comes down to brass tacs, you're dominant or submissive, or both/neither...

It wasn't about defining the role, just the basis for that role... A bit like there's sushi chefs, desert chefs, you name it chefs, but they are all under the grouping of chef as opposed to waiters, bartenders etc...

Ok….I think you get the idea. But you’re not done yet. You will have to further divide those categories and break them down by gender for those who identify as Brats, Good Girls/Boys, Daddy’s little _____, Doormats, Worms, Dolls, Christian, Wiccan, Buddhist, Taoist, Atheist, Muslim, etc., Republican, Democrat, Liberal, Conservative, Race (yes some want this distinction), ……and the list goes on to be further divided by any distinguishing trait, feature or belief that anyone can apply to themselves……..or someone is not going to feel like they “fit” in.

And you really thought that “other” would be all encompassing?

And this is only a few off the top of my head on the “s” side….you gotta do the whole thing over again on the “D” side....and again on the switch side.

I am a slave to Master, a submissive and Domina to whom Master allows.

I used to say, I am a Domina to a few, sub to some, and a slave to ONE. I think that is a more accurate statement now, than ever.

You will most likely get answers to polls that are heavily weighted to women no matter what our true representative number really is on CM because women are more inclined to answer polls like this perhaps?
