I am new to the lifestyle. I live in the DFW area but have no idea about how to connect with the local scene. Can someone give me some contact information about clubs or groups in the area so I can meet real people and have real experience. I'm not here just to be online. Thank you.

Google is your friend! Go to google and put in the city, the acronym BDSM and the word groups and you should get some results. Here's a decent page I got doing that.

Thanks MasterFireMaam. It seems that there is an open munch at a family restaurant the 4th Friday of each month. That looks like a good place to start.

MasterFireMaam, I have heard the term "munch" used quite frequently. I am new to this myself. Just what exactly is a "munch"?

A munch is a social meeting of like minded people.

As for DFW 4th Fridays are very good introduction this months is a Halloween party I believe with the after party being held at the Sanctuary which is the local bdsm club. There are several other groups that are quite active. NLA Dallas, N E A L, DFW Bound and I believe Kat is starting Bound Rose up again. I'm a local and definitely recommend the Fourth Friday munch. It is great for newcomers because it is a non-intimidating setting at a restaurant. It's kind of like a happy hour, but with BDSM folks.

Of course, I am pretty partial to WICK'D (a Femdom group open to Dommes and male and female subs), we'd love to have you visit us sometime, too. We have a link from the site Master Fire provided you a link to.

I am in the dallas/fort worth area several times a month and have thought about going to one of the munchs or getting involved with a local group there. (Will probably be moving to that area within the next year or so.) Thank you for the links and the info. Now I have no excuse not to get involved.=P
