Oh TGD - youre right; I dont like you.

Getting to love you though.........!

Still not sure what to make of this either - you could love having me stand in front of a train; which wouldn't be that good for me.

It's a shame you don't like me though - I have tried to be respectful towards you; doesn't always work though.

So, do you want me to write you a lovesong or something!?

If I didnt like you, I'd ignore you or fate worse than death - humiliate you in forum until you left (two-nil to me on that one so far btw). Every cat has claws to be respected TGD - its only when you see them you have to worry.

I know Kalira - I'm wondering what everyone else is thinking about it too! All these little off topic exchanges in every thread I post to.........

My master told me one day after I woke up that I had been growling in my sleep.  No not snoring...actual growling...you know the sound that most animals make when annoyed.  Anyways I didn't know what to say and it kinda bothered me.  Then I remembered that a unmentionable also does the same thing.  So I shrugged it off until a couple days ago when my master awoke to me growling again.  This time however my master woke me up.  So like any person curious about this I searched the internet.  Funny thing...there isn't anything really listed for this behavior at all except in dogs.  Anyways I plan on asking a psychologist about this to see what he thinks about it.  But I wanted to see what people here think of this whole growling in the sleep thing and if anyone else has heard of this.

I dont recall ever reading anything about growling being a sign of a sleeping disorder.  If you are concerned, go have wires plugged into your head while you sleep (sleep study) to determine if this growling is a form of sleep apnea.

I sleep alone most of the time, but my bedroom is not actually quiet because I snore loud enough to wake the dead.  But when I did the wired up head sleeping thing, the doctor said I did not have sleep apnea.

Just me, could be wrong, but there you go

Usually I only growl when my One does something to deliberately annoy me, like licking the end of my nose. However, when I growl, I sound like a cranky chihuahua. Not exactly threatening. =)

TemptingNviceSub -> RE: Sleeping and growling... (10/18/2006 7:11:48 PM)

Cant say as I have ever been accused of growling..Mostly I have been accused of snoring,drooling..ewww..or giggling and a few times out right laughing.Hopefully the laughter doesnt make anyone next to me feel inadequate!..[:D]..Tempting

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Sleeping and growling... (10/18/2006 7:18:14 PM)

Angel growls and purrs in his sleep.  Its nothing major, ust however you are dreaming coming out in the sounds you make.  Its a lot like talking in your sleep, though you dont actually form words, just a stream of noise which somes out as a growl in your case. He can talk in his sleep, sometimes, and it tends to be very cute when he does since he sounds like a child. However, the purring or growling is more common, and it alo effects how cuddly he is while he is sleeping.  Purring, its probably a good dream, and he snuggles close.  Growling, he tends to try and hide by nuzzling almost TOO close, or he distances himself.
I wouldnt worry about it. But, id be curious as to what a psychologist does have to say about it.

Maybe it's not a 'condition' at all.  i am a big believer in re-incarnation.  Is it possible that certain things that happen during the day inadvertently trigger this response from you, you respond to those events at a time when your subconscious takes over and you growl.  What i am getting at (albeit poorly), is possibly you were an animal (one that growled) in a past life.

This is all well, fine and good. But WTF does this thread have to do with General BDSM Discussion.

Nothing. But it still makes for interesting conversation [:)]

Nothing really unless you are me and have a master that ties you up for growling.  As for the reincarnation thing...I'm still debating that.  But I do believe in dual spirits in a body.  My grandfather taught me the reason behind my name and that it had to do with a vision he had.  He believed that I have a human and a wolf spirit, but then who is to argue with a man that is right on what your first born will be.  [8|].  Also my master punished me not only for growling but boiling the last 2 eggs and making strawberry milk.  Sorry no pics of my rear or the bite mark he has on his side[sm=evil.gif].

I never take myself too seriously - so I can banter incessantly about nothing.

Glad you are finding this all humorous

subartist4dom -> RE: Sleeping and growling... (10/20/2006 4:35:19 AM)

Ok I think I got the whole growling figured out.  I was growling at a spider this morning after it bit me three times and shortly after it was swatted.  But I am liking all the spanking I've been getting lately over all this.

Dnomyar -> RE: Sleeping and growling... (10/20/2006 5:30:17 AM)

Anyone can fart. But when you sneeze and fart at the same time that is cool.

OP: master punished me from the growling

You need to let him know this isn't exactly something you can control, therefore not something he should punish you for. After all, doing so, won't get him a good night's sleep. The only thing likely to guarantee that is if he wore ear muffs.

I growl and hiss in my sleep, something I attribute to a feline animal spirit I identify with. I woke up a friend who thought he had a snake in the bed once, but it was simply me hissing in response to a hook suspension dream I was in.

subartist4dom -> RE: Sleeping and growling... (10/25/2006 1:57:21 PM)

Well the anticipated answer has finally come.  Who would've ever guessed that even the psychologist had no damn clue to why I growl.  Anyways after talking to my cousin we came to the conclusion that it is my dual spirit that is coming out in my sleep.
